Thanks to C.E. once again for another bit of tpb news. In 2014, once the upcoming “Lights Out” crossover is long over, we’ll be graced with the opportunity to purchase the story in collected hardcover format. This time around though? The individual series will feature each others relevant issue!

DC Comics will announce today at Toronto’s Fan Expo that the Justice League of America is going to uproot from the U.S.A. and be headquartered north of the border in the spring of 2014. The ongoing Justice League of America series will be renamed and feature a new Canadian character alongside some of the world’s best-known heroes. Initially an idea by Co-Publisher Dan DiDio, the series will be written by Canada’s own, Jeff Lemire(with art by Mike McKone). Check out what Lemire had to say below.

We showed you before a couple of inked pages from Rags Morales and Cam Smith of the upcoming and increasingly important Green Lantern #23.1: Relic issue. Now, courtesy of DC Entertainment, we have the first colored page of Rags’ artwork. Check it out below.

While the other Green Lantern books have been relatively more action packed with a lighter tone, that can’t be said for New Guardians. With the introduction of Relic a great sense of action dread has now fallen over this title. Relic is shown as an unstoppable force with a goal that has given readers not only a brand new interesting villain, but his goal is what many Green Lantern fans have been clamoring for. It seems that with Lights Out will come the destruction of the emotional spectrum and in Green Lantern: New Guardians the corps members suffer it’s first loss. Let’s open page one to find out who it is shall we?
Relic graces the cover and continues to deal with that pesky White Lantern Kyle Rayner in Green Lantern: New Guardians #23. Check out a preview of the issue below.

Our pals over at Collected Editions discovered a gem of a quote from DC Comics’ Co-Publisher Dan Didio about how the “Forever Evil” tie-in stories will be collected. As you know, excluding Earth 2‘s issue, the spotlighted villains during September are Black Hand, Mongul, Sinestro and of course the newly created threat that is Relic. Find out what Didio said and how it relates to the future of our favorite lanterns.

Do you know what the most difficult aspect for any creative team in comics is? Keeping the momentum when the book starts off red hot. We now enter month 3 of Van Jensen and Bernard Chang’s stay on Green Lantern Corps, and it goes without saying that GLC has become the fan favorite title among the main Green Lantern titles. Van Jensen has done a wonderful job of not only delivering justice to John Stewart as a character, but he also has excelled at balancing John’s personal character arc as new training officer with the new organizational shift and the ramifications of said shift. Now the question is, can Jensen and Chang continue the momentum? Well let’s open page one and find out shall we?

All is well that ends well. That’s got absolutely nothing to do with July 2013’s lantern title sales, but I really felt like typing it. Lets just move onto the info and charts before some terrible pop song enters my head and distracts me from all relevant comic news.
