First Look at Green Lantern Crossover Event “Lights Out”

 

This October, “Lights Out” will span across all of the GREEN LANTERN family titles. And earlier this week, Relic’s Villains Month one-shot hit stores and set the stage for this epic crossover event that will change the Green Lantern universe forever.

 

“There are seven different colors of the emotional spectrum, each of them represented by their own corps. Green Lanterns wear rings powered by will, Red Lanterns rage, Yellow Lanterns fear, and so on,” GREEN LANTERN writer Robert Venditti explained. “For reasons none of the Lanterns are sure of, the rings have been malfunctioning lately. Enter Relic, a remnant of the universe before ours, who thinks he knows what’s wrong with the rings and has a solution. Unfortunately, ridding the universe of every last Lantern is part of that solution.”

REVIEW: Green Lantern #23.1: Relic

The time has finally come for evil to reign over the DC Universe. Now while many readers will recognize most of the villains that will have their own one shot for the second anniversary of the New 52. However most of these villains are not “new” by any means, BUT Green Lantern readers have been introduced to a brand new character known only as Relic. Needless to say that Relic has captured many readers imagination and the anticipation has been building for the particular one shot. Now does the book give us any details on what Relics’ universe was like? Does Robert Venditti give more depth to Relic as a character more so than we have seen over the past several months? First Image from the Next DC Animated Movie JUSTICE LEAGUE: WAR

 

Of course its Batman. Above is the first official image from Justice League: War, the animated movie from WB.

Justice League: War is  an adaptation of the 2011 comic book crossover “The New 52″ by Geoff Johns. The film will be based on Geoff Johns and Jim Lee’s “Justice League Vol. 1: Origin” storyline. It was directed by Jay Oliva and scripted by Heath Corson. It is the 18th film in the DC Universe Animated Original Movies series.

The movie stars Jason O’Mara (Bruce Wayne / Batman), Alan Tudyk (Clark Kent / Superman), Michelle Monaghan (Princess Diana / Wonder Woman), Christopher Gorham (Barry Allen / The Flash), Justin Kirk (Hal Jordan / Green Lantern), Shemar Moore (Victor Stone / Cyborg), Travis Willingham (Shazam) and Steven Blum (Darkseid).
