Well after last months Zero Year tie-in, Green Lantern Corps catches up to the recent events of Green Lantern. It’s been all been from the perspective of Hal Jordan and his “rash” decisions according to some. However there are two sides to every coin, with John Stewart playing the opposite to Hal in this case. We all know what kinda man John is and it shouldn’t be a surprise that he would be against Hal’s extreme decisions as of late, but the true question is will John actually attempt to overthrow Hal which could possibly cause even more inner chaos for the corps. Well let’s open page one and find out what Van Jensen and Bernard Chang have in store for readers this month.

Its a Batman world people, we just live in it. Yahoo has the news of a new weekly series from DC Comics coming next year. With a creative team that includes Brian Azzarello (Wonder Woman), Dan Jurgens (Superman), Keith Giffen (Justice League 3000) and Jeff Lemire (Green Arrow) on the writing side and Jesus Merino, Aaron Lopresti and Jurgens will be doing some interior art. To kick things off though, Green Lantern: Rebirth artist Ethan Van Sciver will be handling the art for the Zero Issue that comes out on Free Comic Book Day in May!

It looks like policing the emotional spectrum won’t be as easy as Hal Jordan assumes it will be. Considering this is still the same man who still even after several months doesn’t seem right for the job. This however has created an interesting story dynamic going forward with some of fellow Green Lanterns latest stance after the revelation of the emotional reservoir. The question that readers should be asking, is Hal Jordan going to far or not far enough. While he hasn’t entered bad guy territory similar to Tony Stark from the other side of the street in 2006, Hal’s stance has certainly raised eyebrows. Before all those questions can be answered however we have to see how Hal and Kilowog get out of the mess on Dekann.

So to rest of the universe, Kyle Rayner is dead from his brave sacrifice from the Green Lantern annual. However as the reader knows, Kyle is in fact alive but his “return” is a secret. Now Kyle is separated from the rest of the corps with no idea what Hal is up to or what’s going in the rest of the universe. So the question is, where does Justin Jordan take Kyle next? With out a doubt the reservoir of light will still play a factor and the potential romance of Carol and Kyle should be interesting read. So without any further ado, let’s open page one and find out shall we.

What makes a man who he is? Is it his parentage, or is it the environment? Well instead of progressing the plot John Stewart or any of the new rookies, instead Van Jensen along with Robert Venditti to tell a “Zero Year” story for John. Now for those who are not reading Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo’s current Batman story , it’s basically the origin of Batman and it appears that many characters were affected during a power outage caused by The Riddler with a hurricane on it’s way. Man the people can’t ever catch a break can they? So we are presented a single issue of John without the ring in a rescue mission. So for those that have been begging for a story about John before he became a Green Lantern, well here it is. Let’s open page one and see what Van Jensen and Robert Venditti have in store for us.
