REVIEW: Green Lanterns #9

As the year winds and the weather becomes colder (well hopefully it does). Our minds begin to remember the fun times, the dramatic times, and what we’ve could have done differently. Chances are most people will end focusing on why the fates didn’t favor them. Why must they suffer while others are enjoying their lives? For most people, they shrug off the doubt and worry and they move on to the next phase of their life. For some the bitterness never leaves them, poisoning their minds. What exactly does this have to do with Green Lanterns? Read on to find out. Warning there will be spoilers going forward. You’ve been warned.

REVIEW: Justice League #7

Before reading this, if you’re in public take a look around you. Chances are there are people walking about going about their daily lives, seemingly unaffected by whatever problems the world has thrown at them. That’s the thing though, more than likely they are battling some inner demon while they commute to work. Feeling the weight of the world on their shoulders knowing they have to continue their daily lives, almost as if they have to put on a mask to hide what’s really going. Remember kids, despite the powers the Justice League are still people. There will be spoilers going forward, you have been warned.

REVIEW: Hal Jordan & The Green Lantern Corps #6

Growing up in the state of Texas, children are taught at a very young age the definition. Whether you were a Longhorn and you were raised to see Boomer Sooner as the enemy, or you grew up in Bryan Texas and the boys in Austin needed to get a beat down the day after Thanksgiving. Robert Venditti is tapping into the visceral nature of the rivalry between Hal Jordan and Sinestro. A conflict that’s been almost nonstop since 1961. Now after a few months of buildup, the rivalry is officially renewed. Warning there will be spoilers, you have been warned.

REVIEW: Justice League #6

Fear. Yes I realize that’s not a complete sentence but let’s go with it shall we? Fear is the one factor that we all share despite our many differences, being afraid is one of our common bonds. When it comes to the world of superheroes, exposing a heroes fear is nothing new and it’s a trope that has been done in comics. Which leads me to ask the question. What exactly does Hitch have in store for this newly formed Justice League? Given that I wasn’t satisfied with how the previous arc ended, my expectations aren’t to high now. Spoilers are to follow, you have been warned.

REVIEW: Green Lanterns #8

Can you smell it? It’s the start of the most wonderful time of the year!!! Now many reserve that phrase with winter as the decorations of various holidays, flood store departments as cash registers sing with the sound of the American way. For me, I’ve always preferred Fall since it won’t be too hot nor to cold and I can wear shorts and feel the gentle breeze upon my legs. With fall also comes Halloween, which is where we find both Jessica and Simon this time around as they search for this new Guardian. There will spoilers going forward so read your issue before going forward. You have been warned.
