Who wants to read about the boring Justice League? Nothing but a buncha whiny do gooders, who want “justice” for all. Sounds boring if you ask me. Do you know what the cool kids like? I was pretty harsh with my last review of Green Lanterns, a series that like most has its up and down moments. Not every comic can be perfect, not every comic can be ground breaking. Despite my negativity I want to at least have some silver lining before this series goes the way of the dodo. Tomorrow, fans can download the service available in the U.S. at launch on iOS, Android, Apple TV, Android TV and the Roku platform, as well as the web and mobile web. The many fans who pre-ordered the service will have access today. In celebration of the launch on Batman Day, the service will enable fans to access and interact with a wide variety of unique Batman movies, animated series, comics and giveaways throughout the month of September.
Pam Lifford has been promoted to President, Warner Bros. Global Brands and Experiences, with responsibility for Warner Bros. Consumer Products, DC, Themed Entertainment and a new Global Franchise team, it was announced today by Kevin Tsujihara, Chairman and CEO, Warner Bros. This new business will align strategies and increase consumer engagement across the company’s key brands and franchises.

I’m going to say it right now, Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps should go down as one of the best runs in all of Green Lantern history. Fifty issues filled to the brim with epic space confrontation, dramatic twist and turns, and friendships you never knew you wanted, but can get enough of. So now that it’s been some time since the conclusion, it’s time to countdown the ten best moments from the series. It should go without saying, but there will be spoilers ahead. The 10 Biggest Moments from Ron Marz’ Green Lantern Run
From Green Lantern Vol. 3, #48 in January of 1994 all the way to #125 in June of 2000 (with a modicum of breaks along the way), Ron Marz was the Geoff Johns of that era of Green Lantern comics. There were ups, there were downs, there was crazy stuff, but always it was entertaining. Down to Earth more often than not, to where there’d be any sort of big space adventure, that’d be a big deal. I loved that. I admit, I would have never picked up an issue of Green Lantern had I not read in Wizard Magazine that “big stuff” was going on in the title. I picked up #50, backtracked a little from there, and the rest is history.
