Next week sees the release of Green Lantern: New Guardians #0 from DC Comics. The issue will feature an “origin” of a new cast for the book starring Kyle Rayner, but the cover prominently features Star Sapphire Carol Ferris sporting a new costume. Hal Jordan & Carol Ferris are married! According to People magazine, the “Green Lantern” co-stars, Ryan Reynolds & Blake Lively, got hitched Sunday evening at a plantation outside Charleston, S.C. The nuptials come less than two years after Reynolds, 35, split from first wife, and current Avenger, Scarlett Johansson; their divorce was finalized in July of 2011. The marriage is the first for Lively, 25, who was with Leonardo DiCaprio last fall, shortly before rumors about a romance between she and Reynolds began to swirl. If you want more gossip, read on!

DC Comics only just debuted the new character Simon Baz in the pages of Green Lantern #0 yesterday. With Hal Jordan and Sinestro currently out of commission, Baz was selected as the new Green Lantern of Sector 2814. It looks like the character will be sticking around for a while in both Green Lantern and the upcoming Justice League of America series, not to mention next year’s Trinity War event.
