REVIEW: The Multiversity #2

Oh look at that, another finale for a beloved series is now in my finger tips. It’s been no secret that my love for Grant Morrison and his exploration into not only the DC multiverse but the idea of what the superhero means in a larger context. Even though the journey has been a bit muddled, one can’t deny the level of quality that has been put into each individual issue of Muliversity, even the guidebook was amazing. With that being said it’s time to see if Grant sticks the landing.

REVIEW: The Multiversity Ultra Comics

STOP WHAT YOU’RE DOING RIGHT NOW! IF YOU CONTINUE TO READ THIS REVIEW THE ENTIRE WORLD WILL BE DESTROYED! I’m only joking of course….or am I? Since the birth of comics in the olden days there has always been a connection between our prime universe and whatever comic universe that an individual reader could be reading at any time. It’s a relationship unlike any other form of media that can’t be replicated regardless of the attempt. So the question is, what happens when the two universes begin to merge?

REVIEW: The Multiversity Mastermen

If you were disappointed that I didn’t review The Multiversity guidebook from last month, sorry but I honestly didn’t see much point in reviewing it. With that out of the way it looks like the pages of Multiversity have turned to a world where the The Third Reich’s dream came true. For the first time in this series, the book isn’t centered around characters who you would call “heroes” from our perspective. I mean come on we are talking about Nazi’s and a Superman that has been brainwashed by Adolph Hitler can’t possibly feel remorse right?

REVIEW: The Multiversity New Thunder World Adventures

SHAZAM! Man I can’t even begin to tell you how long I’ve been wanting to write that cry in some fashion. So exactly how do you follow up Pax Americana or some might call the best single issue of 2014? The answer is you don’t, so enter the polar opposite of Pax Americana with Thunder World. For many people Shazam is the poster boy for everything fun about superhero comics, which begs the question. Does Thunder World live up to the legacy that is Captain Marvel? Let’s see what magic Grant Morrison and Cameron Stewart cook up.

REVIEW: The Multiversity Pax Americana

Jack Kirby and Stan Lee, Chris Claremont and Jon Byrne, and now Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely. I’ll be upfront with this and say that Pax Americana is my most anticipated comic of the year. Not simply DC comic but every single comic that will or has come out in 2014. It’s the fact that Morrison and Quitely have worked wonderful magic in years past and I have no reason to doubt the dream team. So with high expectations let’s see if Pax Americana lives up to this reviewers self imposed hype.

REVIEW: The Multiveristy: The Just

Well ladies and gentlemen it’s once again time to jump into the bleed, and see where our conductor Grant Morrison takes us this time. If the cover is any indication of what exactly this issue will be about it’s a fun coincidence that this comes out a week after Batgirl making current culture today the focal point. How exactly does the world of superheros mesh with modern culture? Should they treated as separate or does a mesh work for the better? Well let’s see what Morrison has in store for Earth 16!

REVIEW: The Multiversity Society of Super-Heroes

Morrison is back again and this time with an all new Earth to explore, filled with wonders and mysteries. Lucky for this site, a Green Lantern actually appears in this issue so kudos to Morrison there. After the zany epic that was the opening salvo, one must wonder what will come out next Especially since the golden rule with a Grant Morrison story is to expect the unexpected. What awaits readers as they follow the brief adventures of Doc Fate and the SOS? Enough of the chit chat it’s time to break down this story!

REVIEW: The Multiversity #1

Oh boy here we go indeed. I know this isn’t a regular Green Lantern comic, but this is something special. Green Lanterns will be in it, and the best part it’s the Green Lantern of the Multiverse! I will go ahead and put this out there that I am a huge fan of Grant Morrison. I have read and enjoyed most of his work over the years so some might see these reviews as biased. These reviews will be done with an honest opinion, even I don’t always enjoy what Morrison does in superhero comics. So with that being said, let’s get meta physical!
