Less than three weeks before the epic known as Godhead comes to a thrilling conclusion, which means the anticipation is about to become more intense. Betrayal’s plus a possible switch of allegiance has seem to be the running theme with the third act of Godhead. It could be me but I feel that the tide has turn for the respective corps or the writing team will pull something at that last minute to save everyone. The bigger question for this chapter is if they will acknowledge John becoming a Star Sapphire.

REVIEW: Green Lantern Corps #36
We’ve all had our share of traumatic experiences. Moments that shape our lives and mold us into who we ultimately become in our adult lives, and add along any other cliche one could come up with. Which brings me to Corps trainer John Stewart, who if you remember way back in August was a dealt an awful hand. Which due to gimmicks and the current crossover his torment has been pushed to the back burner. So now that Hal is offing doing something he shouldn’t be doing, then perhaps John’s story will once again take center stage.

REVIEW: Green Lantern Corps #35
You know the players and you know the game, now it’s time to dive just a bit further into Godhead. The biggest issue with Godhead so far is that of the power scale. For the first time in quite a while the New Gods were actually treated like Gods, which is great but from a story perspective it could write this crossover into a hole. For now it appears that this will be a slow burn with bursts of action for each issue. Let’s see if the momentum continues with this issue of Green Lantern Corps.
REVIEW: Green Lantern Corps Futures End #1
One Futures End tie-in down, with another one right on it’s heel. With the focus centered on John this time around, it’ll be interesting to see what may happen to him five years from now, considering his recent traumatic break up with Fatality. Has John changed as a person? What other mixtures could cause John to veer to the Indigo Tribe? Which is even more dubious when you factor in how the Indigo Tribe “recruits” their members. Let’s see if Van Jensen can continue this magic train into the distant future!

REVIEW: Green Lantern Corps #33
Welp, here we are. The grand finale to the epic Uprising crossover. A crossover that has more twist than a package of twizzlers could ever hope to contain. That might be an exaggerated statement, but one can’t deny that the rug has been pulled out from Green Lanterns several times. So with the last issue of Green Lantern having an ominous ending, it looks like Van Jensen has one more twist up his sleeve, and let’s just say that the reaper has finally come to claim something from John.

REVIEW: Green Lantern Corps #32
Well this crossover has certainly been more than meets the eye. (please don’t sue us Hasbro). The old saying of the enemy of my enemy is my friend and the more important lesson of never under any circumstances should an individual trust a shape shifter. So now the focus of this war has been condensed to two locations as both sides prepare to make their final stand. That being said, there are still two parts left after this, leaving this reviewer with one thought. The Durlans have something else up their sleeves, what danger could it be?

REVIEW: Green Lantern Corps #31
One issue in and it appears that Green Lantern Corps has the Khund/Durlan alliance on the run. One chapter in into a six part crossover and the enemy is already calling a retreat. For some that could signify a loose story and the writers aren’t pacing the story properly. Kinda hard to say that with one issue but I know some fans will slide to that argument. For others this could only mean that there is a bigger end game for the overall story and that makes me want to read this crossover more. So let’s see what chapter two has in store for The Green Lantern Corps.
REVIEW: Green Lantern Corps #30
With “Uprising” one month away this week I take a gander at the last issue before the actual war begins it’s time for one more breather issue before the conflict can finally head to it’s apex. While we know the motivations driving the Khund and the rest of the forces against our emerald warriors, but what about the mysterious Durlans? Outside of simple generic they are evil plot what is there prime motivation for waging war on such a scale. Well as it turns out that is the focus of this issue on the brief history of the Durlans. So now the question is does this issue answer to much or to little to the Durlans side of events. Let’s open page one and find out.
REVIEW: Green Lantern Corps #29
Facing a oncoming threat of insurmountable odds is scary thing to face. Chances are you will be able to see the sheer number of enemies. I am going to proposition something that is more terrifying than an army? An endless army that you cannot see. Ask anybody who has served in combat and they will most likely tell you that the unknown is always scarier. Think about it, even in normal day life the unknown is terrifying. So for added measure let’s thrown in a shape shifting alien race who have thanks to this issue makes The Durlans even more terrifying than before. Be warned there is a huge spoiler here, so read the issue first before reading this review.
