Though DC Comics still has its DC Collectibles branch, we’re seeing a number of other collectibles companies increase their focus on characters like Batman and Superman. Kotobukiya is one such company to increase their DC output in recent months, particularly through their Bishoujo line of PVC statues. The company provided IGN with new pics and details about some of their upcoming DC products. See Green Lantern after the jump and the rest at the link above.
James Robinson and Nicola Scott are continuing to build up the presence of the Justice Society over in DC Comics’ Earth 2 series, with that world’s versions of the Flash, Green Lantern, and Hawkgirl now in action. With the promise of the debut of Atom Smasher in issue #4, it seems like the JSA will be together before we know it. Check the preview via IGN

The Green Lantern Corps Cast Episode 120
TheGreenLanternCorps.com proudly presents The Green Lantern Corps Cast, a podcast focusing on all things Green Lantern! This week audio problems attack the cast as they talk about all the GREEN titles this week. They also recap Comic Con minus drunken antics from Andrew and Brandan this year. Find out what Kyle Rayner wants more than anything. Would you miss Guy Gardner if he died against the Third Army? More importantly, what would drive you to scream the name of a dead construct dying again? The cast takes their precious time to find out which Earth lantern is the biggest murderer compared to Sinestro. Speaking of Sinestro, they find out just why Sinestro has an underground cave. Oh, and a former Green Lantern is a pervert. Fact. Rip Hunter’s Chalkboard vs The Book of Black. Battle of the Prophecies begins! It’s another great episode so tune in for all that and so much more on this episode of CorpsCast.
Featuring opening and ending themes from Kirby Krackle (http://www.kirbykracklemusic.com/) and The Roy Clark Method (http://www.freewebs.com/royclarkmethod/).

ICv2 got a chance to talk to DC co-publishers Jim Lee and Dan Didio at Comic-Con in our annual conversation about the state of the market and DC’s place in it. The backdrop for this conversation was very different from what it was a year ago just before the launch of the New 52 and DC’s new digital strategy. In Part 1, we talk about the changes in the market over the past year and Lee and Didio’s roles as co-publishers. In Part 2, we talked about the quest for new readers, maintaining momentum, title counts, and the impact of digital. And in Part 3, we talked about gay characters, creator rights, and upcoming projects.
Giancarlo spent an hour sharing some of the behind the scenes decision making that went into the show’s creation as well as some of the tough decisions that had to be made to remain faithful to the source material while still fitting the time and budgetary constraints they are faced with. Along the way you can find out some things that they cut from the “Homecoming” finale, his thoughts on the feature film, what the censors had to say about the Star Sapphires and hints of what’s to come this fall when the second batch of episodes begin airing. Listen here.
