Not long ago, we were treated to a sizzle reel for Green Lantern: The Animated Series season 1 part 2. That awesome clip was also our first look at a few new lanterns coming into the show, and now courtesy of Zak Plucinski and Peter Markowski we get to see initial designs of what could have been and what was. The future of the DC Universe Animated Original Movie line is currently safe and sound despite the just-announced shuttering of the Warner Premiere direct-to-DVD feature line from Warner Home Video. Recent reports reveal that Warner Bros. studio has shut down the direct-to-video label Warner Premiere, due to a downturn in the home video market, with any currently in-production titles and projects being wrapped up before the brand disappears. There used to be a time, being part of the Green Lantern Corps would have been the best. With a power ring and limited to just your imagination, you could do just about anything. Unfortunately we’re seeing what happens when members like John Stewart or Guy Gardner do what they think is necessary. There’s some big changes coming.
