Mattel is making a major comeback in the world of superhero collectibles, reclaiming the rights to produce action figures and toys based on DC characters such as Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern and more. This highly anticipated deal will go into effect in the second half of 2026, marking Mattel’s return to one of the most lucrative superhero toy markets in the world.
One of the most powerful lanterns who took up the torch, Kyle Rayner half-kneels atop the robot construct that he has created, mid-yell, poised for battle, his concentration at maximum as he wills the construct to existence, launching two rocket towards the target. A moment in battle immortalized. The unique paint application on the high tech robot construct shows the transitionary formation of the construct, the nuances from green to metallic green, giving it a highly dynamic quality fitting for the torch-bearer.

The move to rename reaffirms DC Direct’s commitment to source DC material and validates the authenticity of being truly “from the source.”

“Secret Origin of the Super Friends” episode of Super Friends where the Legion of Doom goes back in time to stop our heroes from becoming just that.
Pre-orders for the Green Lantern John Stewart Premium Format™ Figure will begin on Thursday, October 11th between 12pm-3pm PST. The Exclusive Edition will be priced at $595.00 USD and the Collector Edition will be priced at $580.00 USD.
Amazon has posted up product pages for a new series of figures from Funko. They are producing a series of DC Comics Primal Age 5.5″ Scale Figures, much like their Savage World figures. The figures are priced at $11.99 each. Not only with they be releasing figures, but they will also have a full Masters of the Universe style Batcave Playset!
