
Green Lantern December 2016 Solicitations



This comes courtesy of the greatness that is Collected Editions, we know now just how many issues will be collected in the first trade paperback edition of Green Lanterns! The “Rage Planet” storyline just wrapped up this week and that will be the cap off to this collection. Hit the jump below for the full description for that and the first Justice League trade.

Thanks to a Diamond Comic Distributors in a retailer-only report, we now know just who will be writing the JLA comic announced during the Spring. The answer comes in Steve Orlando. Orlando, who just signed with the company exclusively, The book will spin out of another book that was just announced by DC Entertainment, Justice League vs Suicide Squad. That book will serve as the first Rebirth crossover event and will run for just six issues. Below, you can find a quote from Geoff Johns about the series.

Fresh off the news that Green Lanterns artist Robson Rocha signed an exclusive deal with the company formerly branded as simply comics, comes the same announcement for Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps artist Rafa Sandoval! Needless to say, this is truly great news for us fans as well as Mr. Sandoval.

Hot on the heels of reaching agreements with writers Tim Seeley (NIGHTWING) and Joshua Williamson (THE FLASH, Vertigo’s FROSTBITE), DC Entertainment continues to expand its roster of top name talent, announcing today that it has reached agreements with international artists Robson Rocha (GREEN LANTERNS) and Otto Schmidt (GREEN ARROW) to create comic book content solely for the publisher’s DC and Vertigo imprints.

Supergirl is officially coming to the “LEGO Dimensions” video game, as announced by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. Additionally, a Supergirl minifigure will be included exclusively in the Sony PlayStation 4 “LEGO Dimensions” Starter Pack, at least for a limited time starting in September. Literally a discussion topic at The Green Lantern Corps Message Board, Matt Damon potentially playing Hal Jordan in a rebooted Green Lantern Corps franchise, was just a thought. Today, Matt Damon (seemingly) takes himself out of the running for that pressure filled duty.


They say every comic book can be someones first. They are typically never named but let me say to that anonymous collective out there that they are probably right, and it is because of sayings like this that issues like Green Lanterns #4 make for a highly problematic read.
