Not much is known about the new Green Lantern being introduced to readers with September’s Green Lantern #0, after the apparent ominous events of August’s Green Lantern Annual #1, but at least now we can put a name to the face … or at least a name to the face mostly hidden by a mask.

According to a solicitation of October’s Green Lantern #13, found on Diamond’s retailer website, his name is apparently Baz.

That’s right, Baz.

Here is how the copy originally appeared in DC’s October solicitations released to the pubic and currently on their own website:

“• Earth’s new Green Lantern battles The Justice League!”

And here is how it now appears on the Diamond retailer site according to a retailer:

“• Baz, Earth’s new Green Lantern battles The Justice League!”

Baz, presumably co-created by writer Geoff Johns and artist Doug Mahnke, apparently plays a prominent role in the DC Universe for the foreseeable future, as a key figure in the upcoming Green Lantern titles event Rise of the Third Army, and then if this teaser is to be believed, again in the larger DC Universe event Trinity War.
