Late Friday night, we received rumblings about Green Lantern: The Animated Series and Young Justice not airing on Saturday morning starting at 10amET as usual. Those rumblings were confirmed twice over, as the official schedule on Cartoon Network’s website had removed both shows from their block to be replaced by repeats of DreamWorks Dragons: Riders of Berk on Saturday and Johnny Test on Sunday (10-11am both days), and officially just several minutes ago on air.
Sorry people – there will apparently be no new episodes of Green Lantern: The Animated Series or Young Justice: Invasion this weekend… or next. Read what GLTAS Producer Giancarlo Volpe said of the situation after the break.
I don’t know if the DC Nation rumor is true or not.Unfortunately we artists are often kept in the dark in regards to when our shows air.

Here’s my two cents: If the rumor proves to be true, I suggest everyone tweet @cartoonnetwork and let them know how they feel about it.

WTF… well go figure another cable company doing good with DC shows and doing last minute air drops… Kinda like CW did to Smallville couple years back… don’t think that’s ever happened to a Marvel show…
No, Marvel just cancels shows doing good to create newer versions of the same show (Avengers: Earths Mightest Heroes to Avengers Assemble, for example)
All I can say is that I was deeply, deeply depressed by this ubsurd and sudden drop of Young Justice, a show that has very good ratings and got good publisity at this years Com Con, I mean this is just stupitity to just with out any warning what so ever take away these shows that hunderds of thousands loyal DC fans look foward to whatching weekend mornings, so please bring back Green Lantern and Young Justice next weekend, please!
