First Look at “Throne of Atlantis” Arc in JUSTICE LEAGUE

This winter, it’s not safe to go in the water.

Back in September, DC Entertainment announced “Throne of Atlantis,” a crossover of epic proportions that will be spanning across the pages of JUSTICE LEAGUE and AQUAMAN. In it, the Justice League will face off against the underwater kingdom of Atlantis – and the ripples of its consequences will be felt across the ever-evolving DC Universe.

While Green Lantern Hal Jordan is no longer apart of the League, we cannot deny anything that the team does isn’t big news. With both Justice League and Aquaman #15 hitting shelves on December 26, below you’ll find a first look at this crossover in the form of some of artists Ivan Reis and Joe Prado’s penciled interior art for JUSTICE LEAGUE #15. Courtesy of DC Entertainment of course.

Former “Green Lantern” Writer Ron Marz Gives Comics for Tots

This marks the third year for what’s become known as Comics for Tots. I offer up signed comics in exchange for donations to Toys for Tots. All the money collected (after shipping costs) is spent on toys donated to the Toys for Tots drive. Last year’s drive resulted in donations of more than $500.

Yes, there are many worthy causes that need donation, especially at this time of year. I chose Toys for Tots because my own childhood memories of Christmas are so fondly held, that I hope in some small way, this effort helps make magical memories for those who might not otherwise have them.

We have a couple of unique sketched/signed items this year that are still being prepared, but I can tell you they include artwork by Darryl Banks and Dan Jurgens. I’ll post an update as soon as they’re ready, and then set up an auction (likely on Twitter) to maximize the donation. Check back for updates soon.

Head over to Ron’s site now!

Rumor Debunked: Marc Guggenheim Says “Green Lantern 2” Report is Bull

So what was that? Two days. Two days for a wild rumor to be debunked. That’s probably a DC Entertainment record. For those late to the show,  let me recap. Cosmic Book News dropped a bunch of script details, new cast members and new characters for “Green Lantern 2”. Like most of the internet, I was intrigued but again like most of the internet, I was hugely skeptical. So thankfully, “Green Lantern” screenwriter Marc Guggenheim has cleared up the situation promptly. Here’s the short and oh so sweet quote below courtesy of ComicBook.com:

“Absolute Bullshit”

Guggenheim offered no other comment. So sorry fanterns, a Green Lantern movie sequel is still a no-go.

RUMOR: Script Details Say ‘Green Lantern 2’ Gets More Cosmic, New Cast and Familiar Faces

Take this with a giant, no scratch that, massive mountain of salt. News on any DC Entertainment movie is hard to come by, but apparently Cosmic Book News have a source within the company that has details on the Green Lantern movie sequel script and even casting replacement.  And no its not Blake Lively.

Geoff Johns Brings ‘Wrath of the First Lantern’ Crossover to Lantern Books

The “Wrath of the First Lantern” story line kicks off in February’s Green Lantern issue 17 and continues in Red LanternsGreen Lantern Corps and Green Lantern: New Guardians. The arc centers on this old, powerful and bizarre force and his role in the fates of Hal Jordan, Sinestro, John Stewart, Guy Gardner and the newest member of the Green Lantern Corps, Simon Baz.

“I don’t want to say he’s a villain or a hero,” Johns says of the First Lantern, who was introduced in DC Comics’ recent Green Lantern Annual. “He’s just a being who’s targeting our main lanterns, our guys, to see if there’s a way that maybe the universe could improve if they made different choices in their lives.
