Big changes will come as part of DC’s new publishing initiative launching this June and that apparently includes new costumes for DC’s major heroes. Here are the new looks for the Trinity and below is the one you really care about, Green Lantern. Also included below are new costumes for Flash and Green Arrow via CBR.
June (and the summer!) is right around the corner but DC Comics must think its Halloween or something close to it because they are naming that month Joker Variant Month. All titles will feature a variant cover featuring the craziest villain in the DCU. Here’s the variant for GL #41 and below you can see the variant cover for Sinestro #12 by Joshua Middleton.
June 2015 will have another special variant release month from DC Comics. This time around, they’ll be focused on the Clown Prince of Crime, The Joker. Check out the variant cover for Green Lantern #41 by Ben Oliver below.
Asked about the difference between working on a film like “Green Lantern” and the challenges of TV, Guggenheim said, “With ‘Green Lantern,’ we [he and Co-Showrunner Greg Berlanti] really learned the lesson of control. We didn’t have it on ‘Green Lantern.’ It got taken out of our hands at a certain point, and stuff happened. The difference between features and TV is that on TV, as a writer, you’re writing for your life. Every eight business days, there’s a new script due, and as a showrunner, it all goes through your pen. Sometimes what’s getting shot is literally your first draft. At the same time, it’s getting shot.”

IGN has the news that DC Comics will be “ending” its New 52 brand. The storylines and numbering will continue on but continuity will change post-Convergence. As of June 3, the post-New 52 publishing line will consist of 24 brand new comics, and 25 ongoing comics. Below we’ll mention the new titles and their creators but one of note for GL fans: Justice League of America by writer/artist Brian Hitch. While Green Lantern will continue on as expected with Robert Venditti & Billy Tan, check below for what happens to GLC. Here’s a hint: Cullen Bunn.
With Alan Scott being on Earth 2 and of different persuasion these days, it should be a nice treat for Jade fans to see the character back in comics. Check out the solicitation for Convergence: Justice League #1 below.
