Joshua Williamson’s upcoming event series featuring two of the DCU’s biggest lineups now has a big artist lineup to pair with it. Longtime lantern readers will take notice of both Howard Porter (JLA, Justice League 3000) and Fernando Pasarin (Green Lantern: Emerald Warriors) are on board for the series. (October 5, 2016 – New York Comic-Con) – LEGO Systems, Inc., in partnership with Warner Bros. Consumer Products and DC Entertainment, today unveiled its first six building sets inspired by the popular DC Super Hero Girls franchise. Featuring a powerful and diverse roster of renowned female DC Super Heroes and Super-Villains, LEGO DC Super Hero Girls building sets engage children’s creativity and imagination to recreate the property’s action-packed, high school based storyline. To leverage the momentum of the franchise this holiday gifting season, the company is advancing availability of three of the six new building sets to hit shelves on November 27, 2016, only in the United States, Canada and Mexico, with the remaining three becoming available during the originally scheduled global launch in January 2017. Additional mission-based building sets will launch globally in August 2017. New York Comic Con attendees are the first to preview the new collection at the LEGO booth #1336 in Hall 3B at Jacob K. Javits Convention Center from October 6-9.

CBR caught the breaking news bug today as DC Entertainment and BOOM! Studios announced yet another crossover series for our lanterns. This time around Green Lantern will be mixed up with the Planet of the Apes franchise for a six issue miniseries! More information is expected to be announced at New York Comic Con this weekend so keep a look out here until then.



This comes courtesy of the greatness that is Collected Editions, we know now just how many issues will be collected in the first trade paperback edition of Green Lanterns! Thanks to a Diamond Comic Distributors in a retailer-only report, we now know just who will be writing the JLA comic announced during the Spring. The answer comes in Steve Orlando. Orlando, who just signed with the company exclusively, The book will spin out of another book that was just announced by DC Entertainment, Justice League vs Suicide Squad.
