Whoa. Who knew the DC in DC event this weekend would give way to such a big Green Lantern related news? Acclaimed screenwriter John Ridley (12 Years A Slave, American Crime) is writing a series for DC Comics entitled “The Other History of the DC Universe” which will focus on several characters and their personal lives. Green Lantern Jessica Cruz Joins DC Superhero Girls
A new adventure begins for the DC Super Hero Girls with a new comic book series, DC SUPER HERO GIRLS: SPACED OUT, available digitally. The new story is the next installment from the popular DC Super Hero Girls franchise, which includes animated movies, TV and webisodes, apparel, toys and publishing. Series writer Shea Fontana and artist Agnes Garbowska introduce the latest adventure featuring Jessica Cruz, Earth’s new Green Lantern, as she heads to Oa with some of her best friends to introduce herself to the Green Lantern Corps. The 12-chapter series begins Monday, November 20.

We knew this was coming since last month’s solicitations had Sam Humphries missing in action. We kept it mum until confirmed, and waited and waited. Sam Humphries announced he has a big book for DC over the weekend (name to be revealed later) and that leads us to Tim Seeley (Grayson, Batman Eternal, Nightwing) being welcomed in today! SDCC’17: DC Essentials Unveil New Lineup
Based on character designs by Justice League artist Jason Fabok, the 6.75-inch figures are apparently the largest range of motion ever for a DC Collectibles figure. Wave One features Superman, Deathstroke, Aquaman, Nightwing, Batman, Wonder Woman and The Flash. Oh and that Green Lantern Hal Jordan fella gets one too!
