Justice League: Gods and Monsters will see release come Mid/Late 2015, and will be an original story written and directed by Bruce Timm. That plus Batman Versus Robin (which will feature Scott Snyder’s Court of Owls) will join the previously announced Justice League: Throne of Atlantis animated feature, slated for Winter/Spring 2014.

Shocking no one but putting smiles on the faces of many, comes the news that Warner Bros. wants Chris Terrio to return to the DC realm with a script for Zack Snyder’s “Justice League” film. Deadline reports that Terrio “crushed” it on the script for “Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice” so it shouldn’t surprise anyone that WB wants him for round 2.
In May of last year, Man of Steel director Zack Snyder said that he saw a potential Justice League film “down the road”. In June of last year, we heard that David Goyer was working on a script for the film. Today, Wall Street Journal makes it official people. We’re getting a Zack Snyder directed JL movie.
Speaking with Collider, Man of Steel writer David Goyer (who’s also hard at work on its sequel that will feature both Batman and Wonder Woman), briefly spoke about that and a tidbit for us lanterns to think on. “I’d love to do Green Lantern” said Goyer when discussing how alien of a world Superman’s home world of Krypton was in Man of Steel and when told “That’s how Green Lantern should have been” by the interviewer. A new image from the upcoming direct-to-video Justice League: War animated feature spotlights a first look at Superman, along with appearances by Batman and Green Lantern. The upcoming DC Universe Animated Original Movie title, scheduled for release come Early 2014 from Warner Home Video, will be an adaptation of the “Justice League: Origin” storyline recently published by DC Comics. “Justice League: Origin,” written by Geoff Johns with artwork by Jim Lee and Scott Williams, kicked off the comic publisher’s current ongoing “The New 52″ comic-line initiative. Justice League: War is an adaptation of the 2011 comic book crossover “The New 52″ by Geoff Johns. The film will be based on Geoff Johns and Jim Lee’s “Justice League Vol. 1: Origin” storyline. It was directed by Jay Oliva and scripted by Heath Corson. It is the 18th film in the DC Universe Animated Original Movies series.
The movie stars Jason O’Mara (Bruce Wayne / Batman), Alan Tudyk (Clark Kent / Superman), Michelle Monaghan (Princess Diana / Wonder Woman), Christopher Gorham (Barry Allen / The Flash), Justin Kirk (Hal Jordan / Green Lantern), Shemar Moore (Victor Stone / Cyborg), Travis Willingham (Shazam) and Steven Blum (Darkseid).
