Where do we begin with this one? So, lets start with the facts which are sparse. DC definitely wants to do more Earth One books as evidenced with the release of Jeff Lemire and Terry Dodson’s Teen Titans: Earth One earlier this quarter. That’s it for the facts. Rumors on the other hand, well now they are running around like Aquaman with his hand cut off. Crazy.

So in Modern Masters Vol. 29: Cliff Chiang which focuses on the former Wonder Woman artist’s work, Chiang is quoted saying the following blurb which excited this writer to the highest of levels:

 

Halfway through Greendale, Azz and I started making plans again. First we talked about All-Star Green Lantern featuring John Stewart, but that was part of a larger project that went away.

For reference Greendale was a graphic novel that was released in 2010. Fast forward to today where we were notified that the BNC Catalist was displaying a record for a forthcoming graphic novel. Yes, a 128page graphic novel with the following blurb:

 

So not only is Brian Azzarello apparently still interesting in a GL: Earth One book, but now he has the co-publisher of DC Comics and artist Jim Lee giving him pencils and a former Green Lantern artist Philip Tan assisting too! You may have noticed that release date is very soon (credit samantha). March 10th 2015 doesn’t lead very much time for preorders. Monday, we’ll get the full view of March solicitations so maybe we’ll have confirmation on this then. Or maybe we won’t. Feel free to limit your expectations and excitement.
