So here we are at the start of something new again. Jessica Cruz. Simon Baz. Both now in the hands of writer Sam Humphries. This is his first crack at these characters and the lantern universe. The good news is that if George Miller is actually on board to direct a Green Lantern Corps movie, he just received extra time to get it just right. The bad news is…we have to wait an extra month for that release. Thanks a lot Godzilla!
We now know a tiny bit more information regarding the upcoming Green Lanterns Rebirth #1 written by Geoff Johns and Sam Humphries and drawn by Ethan Van Sciver and Ed Benes. Newsarama says that the Johns written pages will be drawn (of course) by EVS while the Humphries pages will be drawn by Benes.
In June, fans will see the first of 17 titles that will ship twice monthly, also at a new lower price of $2.99, beginning with a series of “REBIRTH” themed one-shots. Today, DCE is revealing for the first time the variant cover images that will be available for fans when these books go on sale, including Green Lanterns Rebirth #1.
Fresh off the rumor that we’ll be getting three Earth lanterns in the upcoming (2020 is so far away!) GLC movie, comes the word that Warner Bros. has a director in mind. You may know him as the guy who was supposed to helm the original “Justice League” film that was scrapped years ago or maybe as the guy who directed the critical and commercial hit that was “Mad Max: Fury Road”. He is George Miller and he’s quite the SFX guru.
