DC is starting 2021 off with a bang, giving fans a glimpse into futures both near and far, full of current and new characters as the publisher announced plans today for DC Future State, a two-month, line-wide event beginning in January. Through February 2021, the full title lineup will feature a combination of monthly and twice-monthly oversize anthologies, as well as a monthly schedule of miniseries and one-shots.

Warner Bros. has chosen a showrunner for its “Green Lantern” series! Seth Grahame-Smith has gotten the gig and we’ve got a lot more details about the upcoming series. Grahame-Smith will co-write the first episode with producer extraordinaire Marc Guggenheim, also a writer on the 2011 movie we try to forget about. The series has been picked up for a 10 episode first season and is being produced by Greg Berlanti with WB.

Calling all comic book fans to Explore the Multiverse! DC today announced the evolution of DC UNIVERSE into DC UNIVERSE INFINITE, a premium digital comic book service set to launch on January 21, 2021. With access to more than 24,000 comic books at launch, DC UNIVERSE INFINITE subscribers will also encounter digital-first comics, exclusive access to DC fan events, as well as a steady stream of recently released comics six months after the physical versions hit store shelves. Following its initial launch, DC UNIVERSE INFINITE will begin expanding globally in SUMMER 2021.
Young Justice fans who couldn’t wait for season four were more than just “whelmed” at DC FanDome: Explore the Multiverse on Saturday, September 12, by not only the show’s panel with the cast and producers, but also a special table read of a brand-new Young Justice episode performed by the series voice cast—and the reveal of the title to the new season.

This December, the Justice League learns first hand the meaning of “Revenge is a dish best served cold,” in Justice League: Endless Winter, a nine-issue event taking place throughout the month of December.
1000 years ago, a disparate group of heroes – Hippolyta, Black Adam, Swamp Thing and the Viking Prince – banded together to prevent the world from freezing at the hands of the Frost King, an exiled Norse god with the ability to control entire ecosystems. The heroes triumphed, but victory came at a terrible price, one that has been kept secret until now.
Justice League: Endless Winter spans a total of nine titles, all co-written by Ron Marz and Andy Lanning. “Getting to play with such a great cast of cool superheroes is like catnip for me,” said Lanning. “From the Justice League to Teen Titans, Aquaman to Black Adam and, probably my personal favorite, Justice League Dark, there are so many moments to showcase that there’s something for everyone.”

The New York Times has interesting article on the supposed change of how things are being done in Hollywood. Apparently the new ways are here to stay and the old guard can go kick rocks. That’s the gist. More importantly, it touches on all the drama surrounding AT&T and by proxy, HBO Max. Even more important? The executive behind bringing hit shows like Euphoria, Veep, Big Little Lies and Chernobyl is now tasked with making sure HBO Max continues that recent hot streak. Way back in January of 2018 DC Comics held an event in Washington D.C. that was aptly titled “DC in D.C.” Out of that weekend of events came news that screenwriter John Ridley (12 Years a Slave, American Crime) would be writing a mini series about the personal lives of some of the disenfranchised characters of the DCU. Way back then, our very own corpsman, John Stewart was named checked in the series’ synopsis. Well, now its 2020 and the series will finally debut in the Fall…but now it looks like a certain Green Lantern didn’t make the cut. F#%&! Guess DC’s Black label will be without this black hero.
