Ratings Quick Beam: Green Lantern: The Animated Series (February 25-March 3, 2013)

Welcome back to another edition of Ratings Quick Beam, where I give you a small dose latest ratings info for your favorite lantern media. Let’s find out where GLTAS landed as we draw nearer to the finale.

So first things first, wow. Did you see GLTAS last week? The easter eggs alone made it worth watching. Anyway, Green Lantern: The Animated Series slips to #13 this week, which is down just one spot from last. The show still lost quite a few viewers with a P2+ rating of 1724. Not good, especially considering the boost its DC Nation counterpart Young Justice received. We have to exclude GLTAS’ lead-in show, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, as it had its season(possible series) finale last week to escalate its viewership. With only 2 more episodes to air, it’ll be interesting to see how many people tune in the for finale.

More interesting than the final two episode numbers will be are the ratings numbers for what airs post-finale. Will Cartoon Network continue to air old episodes of DC Nation? How much of a drop off in viewership can we expect to see with potential reruns? When the network pulled DC Nation before, GLTAS was replaced with Dragons: Riders of Berk. That show will have its season finale on March 20th, and seeing as how its not pulling top 30 numbers, I doubt that Cartoon Network will want to replace DC Nation with that. Though, despite not being in the top 30 shows(#39 on Wednesday, #106 on Sunday’s airing), it will be getting a second season in the fall.

I don’t want to make this a GLTAS versus article, but I can because the numbers back me up. Besides, we already know its not about viewers, don’t we Bruce Timm?
