This week we received DC Comics solicitations for April, and glaringly absent was Green Lantern: The Animated Series. Fans started to panic, assuming the series was canceled. That would not be surprising, as another young audience marketed DC series Superman Family Adventures was given its last solicit. Fortunately, we reached out to DC and they promptly reassured us that GLTAS would continue…on a new release schedule.

 

The series will now be released every other month, so this was just an off month.  GL: The Animated Series will return.

 

That’s the official word from DCE. So rest easy fans. Art, Franco, Ivan and company will continue bringing you the animated series in comic form, just on a bi-monthly schedule. I have to say this may be the best route for future all-ages books to survive on the market. Additionally, WF mentions that additionally, further changes to the all-ages and media tie-in titles released by DC Comics are expected to be unrolled throughout the year.
