One-time leader of the Japan Foot Clan and
one-time member of its ruling Council (once called the Council
of Eight, later the Council of Five), the presumed successor
of "The Faceless One," the former leader of the Japan
Foot when young Oroku Saki trained there following his
assignment to begin the New York Foot Clan. After the four years
of chaos and disorder in the New York Foot that followed the
second death of Oroku Saki/The Shredder, Karai decided it was
time to intervene. Having her Foot distract the Turtles, she
abducted Leonardo to make a proposal: unconditional peace
between the Foot Clan and the Turtles, if they would help her
slay the remaining Shredder Elite Foot, Foot Soldiers loyal to
only the deceased Oroku Saki who would not fall into line under
her leadership. In a surprise attack, the Shredder Elite then
killed Karais daughter. In the final battle against the
Shredder Elite, Donatello constructed a suit of armor
identical to the Shredders for Karai to wear in the hopes
of confusing the Elite. In the end the Turtles emerged victorious,
and Karai promised to keep her word (TMNT Vol. 1, #54
- 62). For much time there
was much "conflict" in both the Japan and New York
Foot, and Karai was said missing and feared dead by the Ruling
Council of the New York Foot, as they told Raphael when
he inquired as to their involvement in the kidnapping of Shadow
Jones (TMNT Vol. 3, #7). Some time later, when Raphael
returned to his Foot Clan lair in an Oriental theater, after
he had assumed the mantle of the Shredder and had taken on the
responsibility of leader of the New York Foot Clan following
the gunning down of its Ruling Council by the hitmen of Antoine
Puzorelli, after being confronted by Japan Foot and another
claimant to the mantle of the Shredder, Pimiko, was told
by two nameless members of the Council of Five who quickly fought
him into submission that Karai "no longer even sits on,
much less leads, the Council of Five. She made a great mistake
and lost much face." It is unknown what her true fate is
(TMNT Vol. 3, #21). She remains the only known possible
candidate for the persona of "Lady Shredder."

An
enthusiastic artist that resided in the cellar of April ONeils apartment
complex. A man valuing his own time and creative juices more
than money, he turned down several well-paying staff artist jobs
in order to find his own unique style. Having discovered the
Warp Crystal in a pile of coal, he discovered that attaching
it to a pencil he could bring his drawings to life. However,
the only animated thing that remained for more than a few minutes
was the Warp Portal leading to "Kirby World" (Transdimensional
TMNT). When Donatello stumbled upon his room upon
going to fix the shower, Kirby demonstrated the power of the
magical crystal he possessed that, when attached to his pencil,
brought whatever he drew to life. After creating strange creatures,
he and Donatello entered a doorway he created that led to a universe
of his own design. After battling his creations, Kirby chose
to remain his universe while Don returned to the real world
(Donatello special).

The half-brother of Go-Komodo. When
the Turtles broke into Go-Komodo's upstate New York abode to
rescue Splinter, King Komodo, at this time only a mindless
oversized monitor lizard, was accidentally injected with the
synthetic mutagen Go-Komodo had derived from Splinter to use
on himself during the fighting. King Komodo immediately grew
in size, and achieved sentience. The then-cyborg Donatello made
his appearance, blasting King Komodo repeatedly before the Turtles
made their escape (TMNT Vol. 3, #5). King Komodo survived
his wounds by a second injection of synthetic mutagen. Being
found by Pimiko, she tutored him, then brought him to
Manhattan to locate the Turtles. He vengefully prowled the sewers
with three of his non-mutated kin. He killed two children who
wandered into the sewers, causing a bounty to be placed on the
killing of any large alligators in the sewers, and also causing
the Turtles to suspect Leatherhead responsible. King Komodo
and his kin, setting a trap for the Turtles, found the home of
Leatherhead in the sewers which had been formerly the original
home of the Turtles some years back, tied and gagged him, and
waited for the Turtles to show up. Leonardo fell for the
trap, who then found himself face to face with King Komodo. A
fight immediately broke out, and although Leo managed to kill
the three kin of King Komodo, King Komodo apparently bit Leonardo's
left hand off at the wrist. When Leo woke up, he freed Leatherhead,
and together the two of them managed to elude Komodo temporarily
until Michaelangelo and Casey Jones showed up and
bludgeoned King Komodo into the current of the sewer, where he
disappeared. Casey Jones and Leonardo split the bounty money
on the corpses of the three dead monitor lizards. (TMNT
Vol. 3, #17 & 18).

(AKA "Gabby." Not to be confused
with Gabrielle (who later became Gabrielle Jones), Casey
Jones deceased wife) Captain of the Lobster Princess.
After Casey was abducted by lobster men, malacostra, bent
on finding a royal lobster that held the key to the removal of
their curse, Gabrielle Lau rescued him when he nearly drowned
in the ocean. After Casey chased the malacostra to get his mask
back, he took back the royal lobster in question, which he ate.
She revealed her true identitythat of a humanoid lobsterand
attacked Casey for killing her daughter. Casey had no choice
but to use a cleaver and kill her (Casey Jones: North by Downeast
#1 & 2).

Mutant alligator living in the sewers of New
York. As a young alligator that found its way into the sewers,
Leatherhead was found and taken in by TCRI Utroms. In
the TCRI building he was accidentally exposed to the same mutagenic
compound that mutated the Turtles, causing him to become sentient
and grow to an enormous size. When the TCRI self-destructed their
building when their presence became discovered, Leatherhead became
homeless. Later, when a hunter tracked him to his home in the
sewers, Leatherhead retaliated, meeting the Turtles in the process.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Turtles let Leatherhead
stay in their old sewer abode (Tales of the TMNT #6).
Some years later, Leatherhead, now wearing an eyepatch, had nearly
finished construction of a Transmat device that could transport
him to the Utrom homeworld, which he felt was, in fact, his own
homeworld. When a group of treacherous Foot Soldiers that befriended
him he had working for him sabotaged the device, he wrongly accused
the Turtles for it, swearing off their friendship and promising
to make them pay (TMNT Vol. 1, #45). Another long length
of time later, when a giant alligator-like creature was reported
to have slain two children in the sewers, Leonardo went
to find Leatherhead to investigate, knowing that even if he wasnt
the problem, he would be in great danger considering the large
bounty placed on the creature responsible for the death of the
children. Finding Leatherhead gagged and bound in the Turtles'
old sewer lair, Leonardo came face to face with the true sewer
menace: a vengeful King Komodo, the komodo dragon half-brother
of Go-Komodo accidentally injected with synthetic mutagen,
having survived his wounds suffered from Donatello's cannon
(TMNT Vol. 1, #5), along with three of his non-mutated
komodo kin. During Leo's fight with King Komodo, Leatherhead
was freed. Though tempted to turn against Leonardo by King Komodo's
reptilian mind control ability, reminded of what he believed
was the Turtles treachery in the destruction of his Transmat
device, Leatherhead helped Leo until Casey Jones and Michaelangelo
showed up, bludgeoning King Komodo into the current of the sewer
where he disappeared. Afterward, Leatherhead unwittingly introduced
Leonardo and Michaelangelo to his only friend, an Utrom survivor
who was left behind when the TCRI building was self-destructed,
Dr. X. When Leatherhead and Dr. X had Leonardo test Leatherhead's
second Transmat Device, a commando of eight Triceratons
appeared, homing in on their coordinates with the testing of
the device. Leatherhead went along with the Turtles, helping
them confront the Triceraton invasion that ensued, his mental-degenerative
state being displayed (Dr. X stated that the mutagen in his bloodstream
was slowly wearing off) as he brutally savaged them. The last
Triceraton, which Leatherhead had on the ropes, activated a "portable,
short-range transponder" that teleported both Leatherhead
and the Triceraton to parts unknown before the eyes of Dr. X
and the Turtles (TMNT Vol. 3, #17 - 21).

(AKA "Locke") A mythological trickster in
the residence of the Halls of Lost Legends. When the Turtles
went on a blindfolded exercise through the forests of Northampton,
Massachusetts, Loki, disguised as the child-like "Locke,"
greeted the Turtles as they stumbled upon the entrance to "All
Creation," an enchanted, castle-like structure where the
folklore and mythology of man is preserved as substantial, supernatural
creatures. The Turtles find themselves in the Halls of Lost Legends,
however, where the creatures become exhibits awaiting the unlikely
event that the belief they require to live again will surface
once again. Upon seeing them in the Halls of Lost Legends, Loki
told the Turtles, "Youre early!" After speaking
briefly, the Turtles went on to explore the Halls of Lost Legends.
When the creatures on exhibit within began to become animated,
the Turtles found themselves fighting Kronos, the father of Zeus
of Greek Mythology. After a fierce scuffle, the Turtles found
Loki again and spoke to him once more. Using a mirror-like turtle
shield Donatello found in the Asgard exhibit, Donatello
uncovered Lokis true identity. "Locke" no longer,
Loki summoned the Celtic marsh-spirit Fideal, the three-headed
guardian of Hell Cerberus, the demon nemesis of the hero, Beowulf,
Grendel, and a venom-tailed inhabitant of medieval nightmares
Mantichora. Slaying them all, the Turtles confronted Loki alone,
who then tried to trick them by changing his appearance to look
like Splinter. Calling his bluff, Leonardo forced
him to free all the spirits he held. The rightful owners of the
Halls of Lost Legends, now liberated, seized Loki and took him
to be imprisoned at Ragnarok for eternity. It was revealed that
these rightful owners were the ones responsible for making All
Creation appear to the Turtles, summoning them in an effort to
thwart Loki. The Turtles were then transported back to their
sensei, Splinter, who had been waiting for them (TMNT
Vol. 1, #43).

(AKA
"Nobody") A police officer with the vigilante alter-ego
of "Nobody." Employed in the Springfield, Massachusetts
Police Department by day, he fought crime his own way by night.
He encountered the Turtles when investigating a gun-running operation
operating through a trucking company. They teamed up and put
a stop to it, though Nobody had to shoot down an escaping helicopter
full of the guns in question and the criminals involved to do
it (Tales of the TMNT #2). Nobody met the Turtles a second
time when confronting a gang out to kill an old man who had slew
one of their members in self-defense (Tales of the TMNT
#7). After Nobody became transferred from the Springfield PD
to the Northampton PD, he witnessed Casey Joness killing of a young gang member. The two fought,
though he soon determined that Caseys
actions were in self-defense, and let the matter pass (TMNT
Vol. 1, #48 & 49). Nobody later started monitoring Casey
Jones abandoned Northampton residence when
reports began coming in of activity. Finding the alleged intruder
to be Donatello, the two of them fought in a confused
scuffle (TMNT Vol. 2, #3 & 4). They soon traveled
to New York to help the other Turtles fight the now-cyborg Baxter
Stockman. When it was discovered that Raphael was
abducted by DARPA, Nobody went with Louis Braunze
and the Turtles to Nevada to rescue him. Unfortunately, as they
were making their way out of the underground DARPA base, Nobody
was killed by a monstrous creature living at the bottom of a
deep chasm, impaled through the chest by one of its appendages
and pulled into its mouth. It is possible that Nobodys death was only a mental illusion manufactured
by Louis (TMNT Vol. 2, #12).

(AKA "Radical,"
AKA "Raven Shadow Heart") A Native American woman with
supernatural power in reality and what is known as the "Dreamscape";
also the arch-enemy of Complete Carnage. Hazel was spoiled
rotten since the day she had been born to her heiress mother.
As a schoolchild, she was an obnoxious "little goody two-shoes,"
tattling on her playmates and manipulating adults to get everything
she wanted. Lazy and self-centered, she ignored her schoolwork
and eventually dropped out of high school. At the age of 22 she
had already been married and divorced, mostly because she was
surprised to discover that her ex-husbands entire life
did not revolve around her. She ended up moving back with her
mother, where she did little more than watch television soaps,
order the servants around, and spend her mothers inheritance
money. One day while jogging in Central Park, Hazel was abruptly
struck by lightning, instantly being given liquid energy-like
power. She loved this power, and soon accepted the moniker of
"Radical" (Transdimensional TMNT). Meanwhile,
her childhood nemesis Complete Carnage, AKA Max Wilsocchi, was
struck by lightning as well while he worked in his concrete construction
job, instantly mutating him into a powerful, monster-like being.
One of Radical and Carnages earliest confrontations occurred
when Casey Jones and Raphael stumbled into him
while entering a building they thought abandoned. Radical appeared
and, after a short fight, flung him halfway across the world
(Shell Shock). Another confrontation occurred when Carnage
appeared when she was biking, surprising and nearly overtaking
her. Now possessing the ability to pass through and absorb into
man-made things, Carnage posed an even greater threat. Pulling
off his arm, Radical lured him away, then used her "Particle
Beam" ability, scattering their atoms and eventually warping
them both to the ethereal-like "Dreamscape" (Tales
of the TMNT #5). Radical and Carnage sparred for the final
time when she sought out Carnage, having the Turtles distract
him while she prepared a spell that liquified the road Carnage
attempted to dive into, liquifying (and killing) him in the process
(TMNT Vol. 1, #27). It seemed the arm Radical pulled from
Carnages socket got into the hands of the Whelan-Freas
Scientific Research Center. The center generated a clone of Carnage
from the arm, a clone that escaped to go on a rampage in Chicago.
The Turtles, learning of this, sought Radicals help, who
they found to now be going by her Native American name, Raven
Shadow Heart, a teacher who then worked toward preserving her
culture at the Museum of Natural History in New York. She was
unable to intervene against Carnage because she did not have
permission from the "Council," (because the creature
rampaging was a clone, not the real Carnagethe being she
was destined to fight and had already beaten) but the Turtles
were victorious nonetheless with the help of Officer Dragon
(TMNT/TSD II & TSD series #22).

Hong
Kong assassin that formerly worked with her brother, Johnny
Woo Woo. After being framed by her boss, Dong, she sought
the help of Casey Jones and Raphael in her quest
to reach "Sanctuary," where she believed shed be safe from her brothers wrath. Stalked
city to city by Johnny, she finally fought him in Sanctuary,
engaging in a bloody butterfly sword duel. In the end she killed
her brother, impaling him in the stomach with her weapon. Saying
her good-byes to Casey and Raphael, she then disappeared to parts
unknown (Body Count #1 - 4).

An
elderly man at least a million years old who is one with a river
in Vermont, who controls all lifeforms within and lives off of
free-flowing atoms by the power of the river. When the Turtles
and Splinter went on a sojourn through the wetlands near
Northamptons river, a leech manipulated by Old Man
River attached itself to Raphaels
foot after he and his brothers discovered nesting grounds for
turtles. The Turtles soon found the leech again, mutated to ten
feet long after absorbing some of the mutagen from Raphaels bloodstream. Cornering the leech in a cave, Raphael
attempted to trap it by enclosing it with the back of his shell.
Incidentally, the leech attached itself to his shell and absorbed
much more mutagen before Leonardo hacked it to pieces.
While Raphael slowly demutated into a normal turtle, the Turtles
thought the leech laid to rest. The leech appeared again, now
fully humanoid and sentient, masquerading as a Massachusetts
Fish & Game warden in order to absorb more of Raphs mutagen before disappearing. The leech, now calling
himself Bloodsucker, went on a killing spree in the town
of Booder Falls. Samuel Booder VI, the CEO of the industrial
plants poisoning the river, was slain by Bloodsucker. As the
Turtles came to the source of the river in the highlands of Vermont,
they faced Bloodsucker in a final duel, coming to realize Bloodsucker
was sent by Old Man River, whom they finally met in person. Coming
to him asking his aid in restoring Raphael, Old Man River revealed
his plans to revert the rest of the Turtles "like nature
meant you to be!" While the Turtles fought Bloodsucker,
the now-ordinary turtle Raphael gnawed on Bloodsucker, soon absorbing
enough mutagen back to restore his mutated state. Bloodsucker
was reverted back to a normal leech, and absorbed the now-embryo
Old Man River, whose magic had been used against him by Splinter
to reverse his great old age. Abanak, who he revealed
in his final moments of regression to have the same power as
he, took Old Man Rivers place
as caretaker of the river (TMNT Vol. 1, #24 -26).

Longtime close friend
and ally of the Turtles, girlfriend of Casey Jones, and
surrogate mother of Shadow Jones. As a teenager she was
a dedicated computer "hacker." The skills she gained
then were later translated into her career as computer programmer,
specializing in robotics software. This is how she came to be
associated with Dr. Baxter Stockman and his "Mouser"
project. As an assistant of Baxter Stockman, she used her computer
skills to help him create his armada of mechanical mousers. When
she uncovered Baxters scheme to use his mousers to empty
banks and hold the city at ransom, Baxter sent his mousers after
her. Rescued by the Turtles, she was taken to see Splinter,
where she learned of the Turtles origin and past. After
Stockman was brought to justice through their efforts, April
offered the Turtles a place to stay in her apartment (TMNT
Vol. 1, #2 & 3). Disaster struck Aprils life when
the Foot Clan, operating under the resurrected Oroku
Saki, invaded and burnt down her "Second Time Around"
store. With nowhere left to go, she went with the Turtles to
Casey Jones deceased grandmothers estate in Northampton,
Massachusetts. (TMNT Vol. 1, #10 & 11). April later
accepted a short-lived stint as a television news reporter when
an old friend of hers, Molly, offered her the chance to report
a major archaeological dig in Egypt. When the Turtles followed,
an adventure of reanimated corpses and long-dead pharaohs ensued
(TMNT Vol. 1, #32). As she began to become frustrated
with her life of secrecy with the Turtles, her older sister,
Robyn, invited her to her home in L.A. (TMNT Vol.
1, #49). She went to stay with her for several months, during
which time she had a short-lived job at a company that called
for her computer programming skills. She and Robyn later received
the sad news that their father had died. Inheriting a large sum
of money somewhere in the neighborhood of two hundred thousand
dollars, April returned to New York to purchase an apartment
complex, taking on a new job as a landlord. Finding the apartment
to belong to Casey Jones mother with Casey inside, she
realized at last how much she missed him, and how much he meant
to her. Casey and his stepdaughter, Shadow, stayed with her in
the complex. When they briefly went back to Caseys Northampton
residence, April sought to speak with Splinter. The two of them
then accepted each other as father and daughter (TMNT
Vol. 1, #51 - 62). April, while driving Caseys car, was
assaulted by a now-cyborg Dr. Baxter Stockman, stabbing her in
the shoulder and wrecking the car before getting away. The Turtles
later destroyed him (TMNT Vol. 2, #6 & 9). April, on the eve of a party to commemorate
Caseys promotion at a local supermarket, had
Michaelangelo babysit Shadow. After going to sleep, the
Foot kidnapped Shadow, giving her to her paternal grandfather,
Antoine Puzorelli. Raphael made a deal with the Ruling
Council of the New York Foot to get her back, one that called
for him to personally assassinate Puzorelli, though it failed.
Michaelangelo, after being confronted by a drunken Casey Jones,
went on a solo mission and recovered Shadow from the cathedral
she was being baptised at, returning her to April and Casey at
the hospital after Casey had been shot (TMNT Vol. 3, #6
- 8). Antoine Puzorelli then had his thugs put his apartment
on surveillance in an attempt to locate his granddaughter. When
April caught on to this and told Casey, April, Casey, and Shadow
went into hiding in the Turtles current
hideout in the mausoleum of Westwood Cemetery. April was present
when Casey accidentally clubbed Raphael when he returned to the
hideout, thinking him an intruder. She, Casey, and Shadow met
back up with Leonardo and Michaelangelo when they brought
brought Donatello to their mausoleum hideout, where he
was then revived (TMNT Vol. 3, #11, 12 & 15).

Older sister of April ONeil.
Residing in Los Angeles, California, she owns a waterfront home.
Once married to a man named Colin, she divorced him, getting
custody of their son, Trevor. After years of separation, Robyn
finally broke the ice and invited April to her home in L.A. After
several months of living with her, they received word that their
father had passed away. After attending the funeral together,
the two sisters went their separate ways when April inherited
a large sum of money, allowing her to return to New York and
buy an apartment complex (TMNT Vol. 1, #49, 51 - 62).

Member of the Japanese Foot Clan, older
brother of Oroku Saki, and rival of fellow Foot member

Yoshi, seeing this take place, fought and killed Nagi (TMNT
Vol.1, #1).

Former leader of Go-Komodos
hired kunoichi, ninja, and the daughter of Oroku Saki.
When she was pregnant with Pimiko, her mother (no name known,
though it is remotely possible she could be the Headhunter character
seen in Big Bang Comics #10) fled Saki to Komodo, who
took her in and gave her sanctuary. Growing up, she took on a
life of servitude to Komodo, hand-picking and training her kunoichi.
When Warlord Komodo discovered that the mutagen the Turtles carry
in their bloodstream might evolve him to a true dragon, as his
birthright ordained he must, Pimiko led a her kunoichi into the
Turtles sewer lair, capturing both Splinter and
Donatello. Donatello, however, escaped, though it was
only to fall several hundred feet to land in an alley (TMNT
Vol. 3, #1 & 2). Pimiko later became estranged from Warlord
Komodo when he ordered that Splinter be killed, as she wished
to personally fight him in revenge for the death of her father,
Oroku Saki. Protecting Splinter, she fought off her own kunoichi
as she let the Turtles escape with him (TMNT Vol.
3, #5). Sometime afterward, Pimiko found King Komodo,
injected him with a second dose of synthetic mutagen that healed
him, then brought him to Manhattan to locate the Turtles. At
this point in time she had already found the remnants of her
father's Shredder Elite, who accepted her as the rightful
heir to the mantle of the Shredder, not Raphael. She ordered
the Elite to "keep them in sight," wanting full reports
on everything they do and everywhere they go (TMNT Vol.
3, #18). Later, Pimiko attempted to assassinate Splinter in April
O'Neil and Casey Jones' apartment. She failed, and
was subdued and bound by Splinter. When having tea with Splinter
and Casey, she made her escape. Soon afterward, with the impartial
support of two members of the Japan Foot Clan's Ruling
Council of Five, she appeared before Raphael with her loyal Shredder
Elite, proclaiming her birthright as the heir to the mantle of
the Shredder. After their fight, Raphael ultimately defeats her
but refuses to take her life (against the Council's wishes -
they want it to be a duel to the death), instead cutting her
ponytail off and proclaiming victory. As both Pimiko and Raphael
become enemies of the Foot henceforth, the two former enemies
fast become friends. The two fight it out with the traitorous
Cheng and the mysterious "Lady Shredder"
before the other Turtles arrive to render assistance. When invited
by Raphael to attend their nineteenth birthday party, asking
her to choose between fighting and family, Pimiko agrees to come
along (TMNT Vol. 3, #20 - 23).
