"The father of all turtles." Once a giant,
intelligent turtle from prehistoric times, one whose eggs were
eaten by the emerging mammalian rats. The rats were the children
of the Adversary, who would feed off the Great Turtles subsequent sorrow, even beyond the grave. When
Donatello explored the wilderness of Northampton, the
Great Turtle briefly met him, leading Donatello to convince his
brothers to return with him to it. Their journey into the woods
beginning as a merely free spirited journey, soon Donatello began
to hear the voice of the Great Turtle, telling him to stand against
the Adversary, the enemy of all reptiles. Donatello declared
himself the "Shaman" to oppose the Adversary, though
upon being badly beaten in combat by him, realized the Shaman
was Leonardo. Leonardo climbed to the place where he waged
his final battle with the Adversary and, guided by the Great
Turtle, emerged triumphant. The fossil Mesozoic eggs scattered
across the world broke apart as fetal reptile souls, the Great
Turtles included, were freed by the death of
the Adversary (Turtle Soup #1, TMNT Vol. 1, #37).

(AKA "Warlord Komodo," AKA
"The Dragonlord") Owner of Komodo Industries, an organization
run in upstate New York. Komodo comes from a long line of Japanese
rulers and is the last surviving member of the House of Komodo,
a house thought exterminated during World War I. His true descent
lies in the dragon, a birthright he attempted to embrace by having
mercenary cyborgs and Pimikos kunoichi capture
Splinter. Using a synthetic mutagen distilled from Splinters
blood, Komodo intended to use it to mutate himself into a sentient,
true dragon before Pimikos treachery resulted in the self-destruction
of his headquarters when the Turtles invaded, seeking their lost
master. Go-Komodo disappeared during the fighting, leaving his
half-brother accidentally injected with the synthetic mutagen,
King Komodo, to do the fighting (TMNT Vol. 3, #1
- 5). Following the destruction of his headquarters in upstate
New York, Komodo moved himself and his business to Taiwan (TMNT
Vol. 3, #7).

The
only living descendant of the ancient Gosei Samurai Clan, a clan
whose members founded the Japanese Foot Clan in the fourteenth
century. In the Turtles pre-teenage
years, Gosei Hatsumi, dying on his bed, telepathically contacted
Splinter. He explained that his son, Kenji, had rejected
the Gosei Clans legacy, but that there was still hope
for his grandchild, Hattori. Honoring the dying Hatsumis request, Splinter sent the Turtles to seek out
Hattori and convince him to accept his heritage. When they arrived
at Hattoris residence, however, hired ninja assassins
strike, killing Kenji and forced Hattori to defend himself, using
skills he didnt know he had after Splinter convinced
him (TMNT Vol. 1, #9). Several years later, a mysteriously
ill Gosei Hattori sought out Splinter and the Turtles. Upon probing
Hattoris mind, Splinter discovered that something
in the past had changed the course of history, and with that,
altered the future. With Renets
help, the Turtles went back in time to stop Savanti Romero,
who had emerged from cryogenic stasis after their last pre-historic
battle. Upon the Turtles return to the present, Gosei Hattori
immediately recovered (TMNT Vol. 1, #46 & 47).

Member of the Japanese Foot Clan. Witnessing
the beating of his lover, Tang Shen, by Oroku Nagi,
a fellow member of the Foot, he acted and killed Nagi. Exiled
to New York for his actions, he took Shen and his pet rat with
him. He soon married Shen and lived a peaceful life for many
years until the younger brother of Nagi, Oroku Saki, sought
vengeance for the death of his brother and killed them both.
Yoshis pet rat disappeared into the sewers (TMNT Vol.
1, #1). Yoshi, in addition to serving the Foot during his days
in Japan, was apparently also the sensei of Galahad/White Knights
master (Big Bang Comics #10).

(Codenamed "Horridus")
Spike-covered female mutant and member of Freak Force. Her mother,
Meggan Tully, was abducted by aliens, impregnated, and then returned
to her car. Currently having relations with George Hill, she
thought her pregnancy was a result of him, and soon the two were
wed. After Saras birth, her parents, thinking their mutant
child to be a result of their pre-marital sex, chained and locked
her in their basement, then killed themselves (TSD series
#1). Officer Dragon was called to the scene when the decaying
bodies of Saras parents were reported to police. Dehydrated
and starved from her months-long basement banishment, she was
taken by Dragon to a hospital. After some time, it was suggested
by Chicago PD Captain Stewart that Sara join Freak Force, a special
operations police team organized and put together by Dragon and
Stewart to directly confront Chicagos overwhelming "super-freak"
problem (TSD series #3 & 4). She eventually moved
into Sharona "Rapture" Jacksons apartment (a
fellow Freak Force member and the girlfriend of Dragon). After
the cloned Complete Carnages rampage brought the Turtles
to Chicago, she had a brief run-in with them when they showed
up at her apartments doorstep with Dragon (TSD series
#22). Finally, when reports of vampiric-like murders in Chicago
aroused the Turtles attention in their search for their
bat-mutated sensei, Splinter, they ventured to the city a second
time to investigate. When the other Turtles went their separate
ways, Michaelangelo brought a rose and went to see Sara,
who invited him inside to "watch cartoons." Sara and
Michaelangelo shared a kiss before Rapture came home and chased
Mike out (TMNT Vol. 3, #10 & 11). She later mailed
Michaelangelo a portrait of her (TMNT Vol. 3, #15). She
identified Donatello when he was apprehended by government
officials at the Turtles' mausoleum lair, then was given a ride
in the Turtles' aircar home. She soon became caught up in a new
invasion by the Triceraton Empire, one of them teleporting aboard
the Triceraton aircar Donatello was using to take her home. The
Triceraton recognized her as a member of the Sauran Race, the
"Master Race," and notes he had "met others with
spikes" like hers. Before she can learn more the Triceraton
is dropped from the aircar to his death. She is nearly killed
by another Triceraton in the ensuing struggle, but in the end
is reunited with her boyfriend, Michaelangelo. They later have
another TV-watching date, making out once more (TMNT Vol.
3, #19 - 21).

A
former semi-retired scientist on the planet Dhoonib.
Working in his lab, Professor Honeycutt was pressured by General
Blanque and the planets Human
Federation military into making a Transmat Device (teleporation
modules) prototype, as they wanted to use it as a weapon to turn
the tide in the war with the Triceraton Republic. When he donned
a mentawave helmet, used to boosting telepathic and telekinesis
mental powers, an accident occurred. An electrical storm resulted
in Honeycutts consciousness being transferred into
the body of his android companion, Sal. Now in the body of a
robot, he became classified as a "Fugitoid," and was
henceforth persecuted by Blanque and the Human Federation. As
the professor was about to be captured by Federation troopers,
the Turtles appeared, accidentally beamed over trillions of light
years to Dhoonib. Now believed to be working with
Honeycutt, the Turtles were hunted along with him, forcing their
alliance for the duration of their adventure on Dhoonib (TMNT Vol. 1, #5). Honeycutt later
extended an invitation from the Utroms to the Turtles to visit
the TCRI aliens homeworld,
where they were reunited with their Utrom creators. Almost immediately
after they arrived, Gavat-4 Station, an outpost that had a Transmat
link directly to the Utrom homeworld, fell under heavy Triceraton
attack. The Turtles agreed to help them, transporting themselves
to the station and self-destructing it (TMNT: Guide to the
Universe, Shell Shock).

would take place, Jhannas vessel
was blasted into Earths atmosphere,
where it crashed in Northampton. Meeting and teaming with the
Turtles, she soon found herself confronted by Moriah and her
enchanted henchmen. After defeating Moriah, Jhanna spared her
life and marked her with a reminder of her defeat. She left Donatello
her warriors braid and departed in the morning following

JONES, CASEY / ARNOLD
BERNID |
High
school dropout, former bouncer of the "Torchys" bar, a handyman at his old and new apartment,
a part time New York hockey mask-wearing vigilante, boyfriend
of April ONeil,
and stepfather of Shadow Jones. After conditioning himself
and becoming psyched from watching action television shows, one
night Casey Jones decided to fight crime his wayno mercy. When Raphael confronted him after
witnessing his near-killing of muggers, the two became friends
(Raphael special). At some point later, he and Raphael
were drawn into a violent plot crafted by an assassin, Johnny
Woo Woo, as they fought alongside the mans
sister, Midnight (Body Count #1-4). Sometime later,
as a lobster heist he foiled led to his capture by Neptunian
malacostra men, Casey became involved with Gabrielle Lau
in a scheme to capture a royal lobster that held the key to the
malacostra lobster mens curse. Unfortunately, after thoughtlessly
eating the lobster in question, Gabrielle Lau revealed her true
identitythat of a lobsterand
attacked him, forcing him to use a cleaver and kill her. He recounted
this tale to the Turtles (Casey Jones: North by Downeast
#1 & 2). Casey later showed up at April ONeils Second Time Around store when it became besieged
by the resurrected Shredder and a contingent of his Foot
Clan, then taking the Turtles & April with him to stay
at his deceased grandmothers house
in Northampton, Massachusetts when the store burnt down (TMNT
Vol. 1, #10 & 11). Casey came to a crossroads in his
life as a vigilante when he killed a kid when assaulted by a
gang. He was knocked into a river by Donatello when he
was in a drunken stupor. He was nearly brought to trial for his
actions by Nobody, but it was determined that he acted
in self-defense (TMNT Vol. 1, #48 & 49). After many
years of tense friendship, Casey left his home in Northampton
after frustrations with April ONeil.
Going on an aimless road trip, his travels took him to Goat Head,
Colorado, where he stopped at a café. There he met Gabrielle
(who later became Gabrielle Jones), who invited him to
stay in her trailer home after a scuffle with two men who stole
his car ended with him getting beat up (TMNT Vol. 1, #50
& 51). Over time he and Gabrielle became more than friends.
When it was discovered that Gabrielle was pregnant with another
mans baby, Casey stayed with her nonetheless
and, after a few months, got married. During this time Casey
got a job at a local supermarket as a bagger, but his irritability
got the best of him and he was fired by his employer, a Mr. Talbott
(TMNT Vol. 1, #52 - 56). Tragedy struck when Gabrielle
died in pregnancy. Given the custody of her daughter whom he
named Shadow, Caseys travels soon brought him to stay in
his mothers apartment building in New York. When
his mother put the apartment complex up for sale, he became reunited
with April ONeil when she came to buy it from her.
April and Casey got together then, living together with Shadow
in her newly purchased apartment complex (TMNT Vol. 1,
#60 - 62). Casey, in addition to working as a handyman in Aprils complex, got a new job at another supermarket,
this one in New York, where he became promoted to assistant produce
manager. He jumped Donatello, thinking him to be one of the cyborgs
he heard that earlier assaulted Donatello. He was nearly killed
by Donatello when the Turtles Artificial
Intelligence temporarily kicked in. When his daughter was kidnapped
by Foot (under the employ of mob boss Antoine Puzorelliher grandfather) he got drunk, then picked a fight
with hoodlums and got shot. Taken to the hospital, he was soon
greeted by Michaelangelo, who had rescued Shadow from
the mob (TMNT Vol. 3, #6 - 8). Antoine Puzorelli then
had his thugs put his apartment on surveillance in an attempt
to locate his granddaughter. When April caught on to this and
told Casey, Casey, April, and Shadow went into hiding in the
Turtles current hideout in the mausoleum of
Westwood Cemetery. Casey accidentally clubbed Raphael when he
returned to the hideout, thinking him an intruder. He, April,
and Shadow met back up with Leonardo and Michaelangelo
when they brought brought Donatello to their mausoleum hideout,
where he was then revived (TMNT Vol. 3, #11, 12 &
15). Casey was fired from his job at the supermarket when he
called in sick and helped Michaelangelo and Leonardo kill
the three Komodo Dragons and subdue King Komodo, appearing
in a news broadcast his employer saw. He quickly received a ten
thousand dollar reward for his efforts and a ticker tape parade
ceremony in honor of him. When he later went to cash his check,
however, it bounced (TMNT Vol. 3, #19 - 23).

(No
last name known pre-Casey marriage) Café employee who
became the wife of Casey Jones. At least a year before
taking her job in the Goat Head, Colorado café "Grahams Goodtime Grill" she was involved with Albert
Puzorelli, an Italian man with strong connections to the
New York mob under mobster Antoine Puzorelli. Becoming
pregnant with Alberts child, she was dumped by him some time
before he died (it is not known how, but his death is likely
mob-related). It was after frustrations with April ONeil
that Casey wandered to meet her in her café. After a scuffle
with car thieves in the cafés
parking lot in which he got beat up, Gabrielle let Casey stay
with her in her trailer home (TMNT Vol. 1, #51). Over
time they became lovers, then married (TMNT Vol. 1, #52
- 56). She died giving birth to her daughter, Shadow Jones
(TMNT Vol. 1, #58).

(Baptised name: Maria Isabella Puzorelli) Daughter
of Gabrielle (who would later become Gabrielle Jones)
and Albert Puzorelli. When Albert dumped her, Gabrielle,
after meeting and marrying Casey Jones a couple months
prior, died giving birth to her (TMNT Vol. 1, #58). Casey,
Shadows legal guardian, was given custody and
named Shadow, who then moved in with April ONeil
(who would quickly become Shadows surrogate mother). Developing
a relationship with Michaelangelo, who was living with
them in the apartment complex at that time, she became fond of
video games (TMNT Vol. 2, #13). She once told April she
wanted a baby brother. One night when being baby-sat by Michaelangelo,
Shadow heard a knock on the door and answered it. Captured by
the Foot Clan, she was taken to her paternal grandfather,
Antoine Puzorelli. When Raphael learned of Shadows
abduction he sough council with the Foot, confirming their involvement.
He then agreed to kill Antoine Puzorelli for them in exchange
for Shadow, a mission he couldnt complete. Michaelangelo
stepped in, disguising himself as a priest in the cathedral where
Shadow was to be baptised by Antoine. Only moments after being
baptised, (making Antoine her godfather) Michaelangelo dropped
his disguise and rescued her, taking her to the top of the cathedral
and using his shell to make himself appear as part of the gargoyles
statues. Shadow was then returned to Casey and April (TMNT
Vol. 3, #6 - 8). Antoine Puzorelli then had his thugs put his
apartment on surveillance in an attempt to locate Shadow. When
April caught on to this and told Casey, Casey, April, and Shadow
went into hiding in the Turtles current
hideout in the mausoleum of Westwood Cemetery. While Shadow watched,
Casey accidentally clubbed Raphael when he returned to the hideout,
thinking him an intruder. Shadow, Casey, and April met back up
with Leonardo and Michaelangelo when they brought brought
Donatello to their mausoleum hideout, where he was then
revived (TMNT Vol. 3, #11, 12 & 15). When Leonardo
chooses to give up his artificial, removable hand, Shadow asks
if she can keep it. Leonardo gives her permission (TMNT
Vol. 3, #23).
