You know him, you love him, he’s everyone’s favorite fallen Green Lantern in Thaal Sinestro!!! Now while Sinestro has been around since the 1950’s, his most prominent time was under the pen of Geoff Johns and you may or may like that but it is a fact. Sinestro became more popular since 2007. Now this is the first time that this reviewer can remember when Sinestro was not written by Geoff. Instead current DC writer and indie writer (Mind MGMT) tackles this iconic villain, along with the amazing Dale Eaglesham on pencils. What is their interpretation of Sinestro like? REVIEW: Green Lantern #23.2: Mongul

We now enter the second week of DC’s Villains month and for the Green Lantern titles, the focus shifts from our new friend Relic to a old staple for the DC Universe. That villain is the leader of Warworld, Mongul. This should be stated right off that bat before this review can get underway with the contents inside, this issue does not tie into Forever Evil nor does it seem to deal with the upcoming Lights Out crossover next month for the Lantern books. Instead this issue that is 100% Mongul and that might be a good or bad thing depending on the type of reader who buys this book. Now co creator of Mongul Jim Starlin and veteran artist Howard Porter reintroduce Mongul to the New 52, but the question is do they do an effective enough job? Let’s open page one and find out.

REVIEW: Green Lantern New Guardians #23

While the other Green Lantern books have been relatively more action packed with a lighter tone, that can’t be said for New Guardians. With the introduction of Relic a great sense of action dread has now fallen over this title. Relic is shown as an unstoppable force with a goal that has given readers not only a brand new interesting villain, but his goal is what many Green Lantern fans have been clamoring for. It seems that with Lights Out will come the destruction of the emotional spectrum and in Green Lantern: New Guardians the corps members suffer it’s first loss. Let’s open page one to find out who it is shall we?

We now enter month 3 of Van Jensen and Bernard Chang’s stay on Green Lantern Corps, and it goes without saying that GLC has become the fan favorite title among the main Green Lantern titles. Van Jensen has done a wonderful job of not only delivering justice to John Stewart as a character, but he also has excelled at balancing John’s personal character arc as new training officer with the new organizational shift and the ramifications of said shift. Now the question is, can Jensen and Chang continue the momentum? Well let’s open page one and find out shall we?
