- [WING COMMANDER II: VENGEANCE
OF THE KILRATHI prologue]
An attack on the Enigma Sector Kilrathi headquarters at KTithrak
Mang falls short when the renowned TCS Tigers Claw
is ambushed and destroyed by a wing of Kilrathi stealth fighters.
Lieutenant Commander Christopher "Maverick" Blair,
the carriers sole survivor save for a few other pilots
on patrol that had been an instrumental pilot during the Vega
Sector Campaign up through the Firekka dilemma, lands on the
TCS Austin and reports the sighting of the Kilrathi stealth
fighters responsible but is nevertheless charged a day later
with negligence (but in suspicion of treason) and placed under
house arrest into 2656.322. After a full court-martial, Blair
is reduced in rank to captain. Rear Admiral Geoffrey Tolwyn,
believing him a traitor, disgustedly reassigns Blair to In-System
Security (Insys/ISS) duty on Caernarvon Station in the Gwynedd
System, far from the front lines of the ongoing Intergalactic
War on the other side of the Enigma Sector. WC2, WC3, WCKS
- An Enigma
Sector colony of Kilrathi on the planet Ghorah Khar, after a
period of subtle rebellion, declares independence from the Kilrathi
Empire and goes to the Confederation for protection. As Prince
Thrakhath learns of this, he orders Khasra "Redclaw"
nar Kiranka, his cousin and brother of Bakhtosh "Redclaw"
nar Kiranka, the deceased Kilrathi ace, to annihilate
the Ghorah Khar shipyards to prevent the rebels and Confed from
utilizing the Kilrathi stealth fighter technology housed there.
WC2
- A secret
Confederation superweapon project codenamed Behemoth is
begun, an effort led by an officer named Ubarov in the Weapons
Development Office to end the Kilrathi War in one swift stroke.
Though the project is estimated to take a decade longer to complete,
its potential is unbelievable. WC3, WC3N, WCFC
- The Church
of Man Retro Terrorist Plot is unraveled in the Gemini Sector,
having flourished for five years from not only their support
during the treasonous Meshach administration, but now from Clan
Sihkag of the Kilrathi Empire to assist them in tying down the
Confederation forces in the area. PRV
- In the Hari
Sector within Kilrathi space, a region formerly occupied by the
long-defeated Hari race, the royal Kiranka Clan begins construction
of a fleet of Hakaga-class supercarriers. Project Hari, as it
is called, is predicted to take five years to complete. WCFA
- The focus
of the Intergalactic War drifts away from the decade-long Battle
of Repleetah. Supply ships and reinforcements have long since
ceased to visit the research planet. Finally, only a handful
of troops remain on either side. The sole surviving Terran officer,
Lieutenant Miles DArby, leads his men in a last-ditch effort
to overrun the Kilrathi position. No one but a handful of Terran
refugees live through this last action on either side. The Battle
of Repleetah has finally come to an end. WC3, WCKS
- While the
war progresses, the Society of Mandarins surfaces, a human organization
who believes that humanity is doomed to utter defeat by the Kilrathi,
so they serve them in order to gain favor for when they are victorious.
These people betray the Confederation, often supplying the Kilrathi
with TCSN carrier coordinates, mission specifics, etc. WC2
- [WING COMMANDER II: VENGEANCE
OF THE KILRATHI
begins] Captain Christopher "Maverick" Blair is called
to action after a decade of Insys duty on Caernarvon Station
when the nearby TCS Concordia falls under heavy Kilrathi
attack and sends out a distress call. He subsequently applies
for a transfer, but despite Rear Admiral Tolwyns strong
misgivings about Blair and refusing the transfer request itself,
Blair is allowed to stay aboard as a result of his much-needed
skill in the cockpit. Blair meets old Tigers Claw
acquaintance Colonel Jeannette "Angel" Devereaux, now
the wing commander aboard the Concordia, and again becomes
romantically involved with her. WC2
- After Confederation
forces are able to successfully defend Olympus Stationa
Terran starbase established for the rebel Kilrathi world of Ghorah
Kharfrom Kilrathi assault, Confed liberates the Heavens
Gate System on 2666.356. Despite Rear Admiral Tolwyns better
judgment, Christopher Blair is called upon to play a large and
vital role in these struggles. After much investigation, a Mandarin
traitor is discovered aboard the TCS Concordia: Major
Zachary "Jazz" Colson, a pilot who lost his brother,
a Marine, when the Kilrathi attacked Goddard. After an ensuing
space dogfight he is apprehended through the efforts of Colonel
Blair and is subsequently sentenced to death for his acts of
treason on 2667.069. When Terran forces launched from the Concordia
daringly jump behind enemy lines, Blair disobeys orders and
goes on a solo mission to destroy the Kilrathi sector headquarters
of KTithrak Mang on 2667.077. After engaging Prince Thrakhath in a
space battle that leaves the Kilrathi royalty floating in space
without a ship, Blair succeeds and, as a result, secures the
Enigma Sector for the Confederation. In addition, the sightings
of cloaked Kilrathi stealth fighters are confirmed on 2667.063,
freeing Blair from all possible blame for the destruction of
the Tigers Claw. He is promoted to colonel with
Admiral Tolwyns approval. [VENGEANCE OF THE KILRATHI ends] WC2, WC3, WCKS
- [WING COMMANDER II: SPECIAL
OPERATIONS 1
begins] Rear Admiral Tolwyn approaches Colonel Blair with an
offer to join the covert Special Operations division of Confed.
Special Operations forces led by Blair then dispel a Kilrathi
attack on Pembroke Station, the gateway system between the Enigma
and Vega sectors. These same forces then tend to a mutiny aboard
the TCS Gettysburg, where Jason "Bear" Bondarevsky
leads a mutiny against an officer who ordered his subordinates
to kill Kilrathi civilians. The mutineers split into two factions,
Jasons faction soon being caught aboard the TCS Gettysburg
by the Special Operations forces led by Colonel Blair and Major
Taggart (though the official court of inquiry dispels all charges
in light of the circumstances and Admiral Tolwyns influence).
Blair convinces Jason and his faction to fly against the pirated
Rigel Supply Depot. The depot and its renegade captain
are eventually gunned down. SO1, WC3, WCKS
- The Kilrathi
unsuccessfully attempt to quell rebelling planets in the Ghorah
Khar System. Khasra Redclaw makes an assassination attempt on
his cousin, Prince Thrakhath. Thrakhath is captured and brought
aboard the Bonnie Heather by Blair and fellow Tigers
Claw vet James Taggart, but eludes his captors through a
daringly engineered escape. Finally, a desperate attack against
Olympus Station over Ghorah Khar is thwarted, saving the rebel
Kilrathi planet. [SPECIAL

- [WING COMMANDER II: SPECIAL
OPERATIONS 2 begins]
"Jazz" Colson, en route aboard the prison ship Alcatraz,
is liberated by the Kilrathi. Returning to the Mandarins, Colson
puts a plan into effect to steal the new Morningstar-class fighter
specs from under the Confederations noses. Working with
other Mandarins, the specs are delivered, though the victory
is short lived. Learning of their hidden base within an asteroid
belt in the Ayers System within the Deneb Sector, the Confederations
Special Operations division retaliates and neutralizes the base,
effectively terminating the Society of Mandarins. Colson is slain
during the conflict in a second dogfight with Colonel Blair.
[SPECIAL
OPERATIONS 2
ends] SO2
- [WING COMMANDER: END RUN begins] The TCSN Corvette
Johnny Greene accepts a surveillance mission to the mysterious
Kilrathi Vukar Tag Sector planet Vukar Tag. Encountering overwhelming
opposition, the corvette is barely able to make the jump back
to Confederation space with the fragmented information it had
gathered. Acting on information supplied by the Johnny Greene
eight months before, Marine and space-based attack forces led
by Lieutenant Commander Jason "Bear" Bondarevsky and
pilots aboard the new CVE-class TCS Tarawa, including
Kevin "Lone Wolf" Tolwyn (nephew of Geoffrey) are sent
to the front lines. The Tarawa then closes on Vukar Tag,
seizing the planet in "Operation Back Lash," as it
comes to be known that Vukar Tag contains the ancestral home
of the Emperors mother, the Dowager Empress Graknala. A
Confed plan is revealed as the TCS Tarawa, Intrepid, and
Kagimasha are dispatched to Kilrah itself to deter the
Kilrathi fleet, allowing the full Confed Fleet waiting at Vukar
Tag a much greater chance of combating the reduced number of
Kilrathi capital ships that would arrive in retaliation. The
Terran fleets then strike hard against Kilrathi forces on the
front lines at Kilrah itself, eliminating nine carriers under
construction and crippling dozens of transports and four shipyards.
Running low on combat ships, the Kilrathi military appears on
the verge of retreating for supplies. [END RUN ends] WCER,
WCKS
- CICINTEL
releases a full report publically confirming the existence of
Kilrathi stealth fighters. They were first confirmed on 2667.063. WCKS, WC2
- (A) The frigate TCS Richmond,
en route back to Earth, finds itself diverted into Kilrathi territory.
There, they find the Kilrathi are testing a new secret technology
to mask Jump Drive trails, a technology they refuse to allow
the Terrans to discover. The Richmond, full of Marines
and civilians along with veteran pilot Steve "Mustang"
Hayes and its insane captain, Benjamin Ryer, makes its run and
fights its way home.
[ Chronicled
in the story, Mustangs Run ]
- [WING COMMANDER: FLEET
ACTION begins]
As the pendulum of war swings toward the Terrans, a peace accord
is unexpectedly offered by Kilrah. All fleets are withdrawn,
even those in the midst of combat. In the following months, several
frontier colonies refuse to abide by the armistice rulings, investing
both forces and ships in an attempt to search out suspected active
shipyards on the far side of the Kilrathi Empire. Using captured
stealth equipment, private forces intercept a HoloVid of the
rumored facility in the Hari Sector, along with a message that
Kilrathi forces are embarking to attack Earth. The armistice
is renounced, and a hastily assembled force of still-intact Confederation
ships prepare to defend against the attack, bolstered by private
ships and carriers led by the TCS Concordia. The first
hits result in total radiation-warhead destruction of Warsaw,
Gilead, and Sirius Prime. Front-line Marines land on the Imperial
flagship carrier, where a few brave volunteers place mines in
suicide missions. The volunteers destroy three of the Hakaga-class
supercarriers, but the remainder of the fleet reaches striking
distance. The Kilrathi successfully launch anti-matter rockets
on crucial defense citiesChicago, Pittsburgh, Boston, Miami,
Quebec, Berlin, Paris, Kiev, and othersthen retreat to
friendlier space. Captain Jason "Bear" Bondarevsky
plays an instrumental role in the defense of Earth, along with
Rear Admiral Geoffrey Tolwyn, Admiral Vance Richards, and Admiral
Spencer "Skip" Banbridge. Veteran pilot and longtime
Confederation hero Ian "Hunter" St. John, one of the
last Tigers Claw survivors, is presumed dead a short
time before what becomes known as the Battle of Terra. [FLEET ACTION ends] WCFA, WC3, WCKS
- Colonel Christopher
Blair is certified by the Terran Confederation Navy to operate
the XCU-50 Optical DataZig Console, meeting all requirements
for certification. Beginning in January of 2670, all TCN fleet
ships would adopt this keyboard platform as standard issue. WCKS, WC3
- Prices in
the bustling Gemini Sector come down and profit is had trading
from base to base. The only caveat is that, while being able
to buy and sell slaves or drugs, they are not legal. Confed patrol
ships and Confederation Militia fighters routinely scan ships
en route for such contraband, being authorized to eliminate such
pirates and privateers. New Constantinople and Perry Naval Base
forbid the sale of contraband through their Commodity Exchange.
PRV
- Fleet Admiral
Tolwyn is assigned to the Weapons Development Office. He inherits
the Behemoth Project from Ubarov. Though his first reaction
was to scrap it, his misgivings soon become elated as he realizes
it would be the best way available to end the Kilrathi War as
quickly as possible. WCFC
- [WING COMMANDER: PRIVATEER begins] Not long after
privateering in the Gemini Sector becomes rampant, a young merchant
inherits his grandfathers Tarsus-class ship after he becomes
disassociated with his companions aboard the vessel Scarab
when it is besieged by Church of Man vessels and its captain
is killed. Picking up his new ship, the merchant decides to take
on a life of privateering. After acquiring an artifact of the
ancient alien Steltek race from a fixer who later turns up dead,
Sandoval, the Gemini merchant-turned-privateer proceeds to go
world to world on a quest to learn more about it. Eventually
recovering a Steltek cannon from a derelict spacecraft in the
Delta Prime System, he accidentally activates a Steltek drone
ship that begins stalking him. Admiral Terrell of Perry Naval
Base recruits the privateer, offering to assist him if the privateer
can lure the dronewhich he believes to be a Kilrathi secret
weaponinto the fire of his carriers. The privateer agrees,
and does so, but not before he runs into an actual member of
the membranous/tentacle-like Steltek race. The Steltek he encounters
in space explains that the drone ship was created to be an automated
device meant to eliminate all traces of the Steltek race after
they had all migrated to another part of space thousands of years
prior, hoping to leave developing civilizations across the galaxys
worlds no hint of their past presence or even existence when
they journeyed to the stars. The Steltek boosts the power on
the privateers Steltek cannon, giving it enough strength
to destroy the drone he then fights and destroys with the help
of Terrells fleet, led by Admiral Reismann. The Steltek
retrieves its races forgotten derelict ship and disappears
back into deep space. It is unknown if the "Double-Helix"
ships seen by CIAI probes on 2654.080 were Steltek vessels, though
the configuration of the Steltek ship the Gemini privateer encountered
bore several similarities to the description given at that time.
From a 2681 analysis of alien races, it reasons to say that the
Double-Helix and Steltek peoples are likely two separate races.
[PRIVATEER ends] PRV
- Colonel Jeannette
"Angel" Devereaux of the TCS Concordia joins
the Special Operations division soon after Colonel Blair returns
from it himself, undertaking a covert infilration mission given
by Major James Taggart to Kilrah with other Confederation operatives.
WC3, WC3N
- [WING COMMANDER: ARMADA begins] The Terran Intelligence
Agency deploys a top-secret, tactical search party through a
previously uncharted Kilrathi jump point. A heavy carrier, the
TCS Lexington, is equipped with self-sustaining recycling
systems, mining apparatus, and a 62-person Special Operations
team of which Colonel Jeannette "Angel" Devereaux was
likely among. This unit leaves Goddard Transfer Station and passes
through a newly discovered jump point. Its alleged missionto
search out and destroy Kilrathi forces, sector by sector. After
it evidently succeeded in depositing its Special Operations team
on Kilrah, no communications had been received from this special
mission at the time of 2669.221. It is not known what happened
to the Lexington. [WING COMMANDER: ARMADA ends] ARM, WC3, WC3N, WCKS
- The Special
Operations operatives on Kilrah are discovered and taken before
Crown Prince Thrakhath and the Emperor. After the other operatives
are flash incinerated before a crowd of Kilrathi, Jeannette Devereaux
is personally slain by Thrakhath. WC3, WC3N
- [WING COMMANDER: PRIVATEER
- RIGHTEOUS FIRE
begins] Nearly a year after his first outing, the Steltek cannon
relic is stolen by Retros from the Gemini Sector privateers
ship while he enjoys some relaxation on the pleasure planet Jolson.
As Church of Man activity reaches an all-time high, the privateer
unsuccessfully embarks on another adventure through the four
quadrants the sector is composed of to track it down, as the
cannon represented all of his previous efforts and hard work,
eventually eliminating the Retro leader, Mordici Jones. The Retro
planet New Eden is ruined due to Jones demise. [RIGHTEOUS FIRE ends] PRVRF
- Veratek,
a planet located between two Kilrathi jump points found to be
rich in plutonium, is discovered to have two indigenous species
that produce ascilotriptostolene, the chemical found in 1998
to stop the spread of cancer. The Terran Confederation military
court grants limited rights to Veratek, though the construction
and mining operations contaminates the atmosphere, killing off
most lifeforms. All operations are ordered ceased, and the intergalactic
Environmental Protection Association initiates resorative action.
WC3
- The La
Belle Dam Sans Merci ("the beautiful woman without mercy")
massacre. A Confed fighter is captured by the Kilrathi, then
sent back with Kilrathi symbols painted on its hull with the
female pilots blood. WC3
- [WING COMMANDER III: HEART
OF THE TIGER
begins] The TCS Concordia crashes on the planet Vespus
is the Enigma Sector, the flagship carrier having faced a Kilrathi
rear guard of unexpected ferocity in the Vespus System. Colonel
Blair, out of action during the battle due to damage his fighter
craft had suffered, surveys the wreckage with General James "Paladin"
Taggart. After denying his transfer to the TCS Bradshaw,
Admiral Tolwyn assigns Colonel Blair to the TCS Victory,
where he begins his tour of duty as wing commander of the Victorys
36th Fighter Wing. Ralgha "Hobbes" nar Hhallas
treachery to the Confederation, though unwitting, is revealed.
WC3, WC3N
- The Kilrathi
biochemical destruction of Trafalgar, Locanda, and Delius is
witnessed by the TCS Victory. WC3, WC3N
- The Cabrea
System is liberated from the Kilrathi through the efforts of
the TCS Victory. WC3, WC3N
- As the war
continues to go badly for the Confederation, Tolwyns plans
to eliminate the Kilrathi Empire on a gradual scale with the
Behemoth are hastily revised to put it to use on Kilrah
immediately after the superweapon is tested on an uninhabited
and unstable planet, as it possesses the power to destroy an
entire world with a supercharged blast that disrupts a planets
core, exploiting its seismic activity to destructive levels.
After Tolwyn takes temporarily takes command of the Victory
to see the Behemoth Project through, once a transmission
from Prince Thrakhath received on the Victory triggers
the emergence of an alternate personality within Ralgha, he goes
to work the feeding the Kilrathi Empire Admiral Tolwyns
Behemoth project plans and movements. Though the Behemoth
project itself proves to be successful in a test that annihilates
an entire planet devoid of life, Loki VI, the Kilrathi, acting
on the information Ralgha provided, ambush the Behemoth
and destroy it before it can make the jump to Kilrah. After being
discovered, Ralgha kills fellow pilot Lieutenant Laurel "Cobra"
Buckley and attempts to escape back to the Empire. Colonel Blair,
who had grudgingly come to trust the Kilrathi defector during
the Enigma Campaign, chases and shoots him down before his hijacked
fighter can make the jump to Kilrathi space. During the ensuing
battles it is revealed to Blair that Jeannette Devereaux, whom
he had been involved with before she undertook Tolwyns
covert mission, was killed by Price Thrakhath. Fortunately, General
Taggart of Special Operations comes up with an alternate plan
to bring the war to a quick close even after the destruction
of the Behemoth. In studying the data on the planet Kilrah
gathered from when the TCS Tarawa, Intrepid, and Kagimasha
made their run in 2667 and the Special Operations mission headed
earlier in the year by Colonel Devereaux, it is discovered that
it is seismically unstable, suffering earthquakes regularly (which
the Confederation believes to be the origin of the Kilrathis
aggressive nature). Taggart, working with TCS Victory
pilots, is brought Doctor Philip Severin, a Terran scientist
who had been captured by the Kilrathi. He possessed the knowledge
to build a bomb that could exploit Kilrahs instability
and effectively destroy it. WC3, WC3N
- The Temblor
Bomb is successfully tested on an uninhabited world. WC3
- In an organized
sortie on Kilrah itself, it is Colonel Christopher Blair who
makes the trench run to the fault line most vulnerable to tectonic
impulses and drops Dr. Severins Temblor "T" Bomb
after shooting down Prince Thrakhath in orbit. Kilrah is destroyed,
and in an explosion hurling the mass of the planet in every direction,
much of the Grand Fleet in orbit is annihilated with it. Humbled
by the destruction of their homeworld and the death of their
Emperor and Prince Thrakhath, the Kilrathi Empire offers unconditional
peace with the Confederation. The treaty is accepted and the
vast number of Kilrathi that surrender agree to dismantle all
of their warships under the conditions of the Treaty of Torgo.
This brings an end to 40 years of hostilities and 35 years of
declared war. As the Kilrathi stand down, however, they speak
of an alien race they had fought into a mutual stalemate 71 years
ago, the Mantu, now having come back in force after finishing
their own conquest of another race. The Mantu had been reportedly
skirmishing along their borders opposite the Confederation, indicating
that with the Empire in shambles there will be little to prevent
them from ravaging across the galaxy. It is unknown what race
the Mantu had conquered, but the following Kilrathi-conquered
races and others are known in the outer reaches of space, some
deep within the Spinward and Coreward Unknown Territories: the
Dioscuri, Dolosians, Eyoka, Hagarin, Haggans, Hari, Gorth, Jarma,
Ka, Mopokes, Oasians, Shata/Utara, Sorn, Varni, Wu, and Yan.
It is possible the race in question was the mysterious "Double-Helix"
race sighted by probes on 2654.080 or the Steltek race. From
a 2681 analysis of alien races, however, it reasons to say that
the Double-Helix, Steltek, and Mantu peoples are likely three
separate races. [HEART

- [WING COMMANDER: FALSE
COLORS begins]
Fleet Admiral Tolwyn, now working for the Free Republic of Landreich
Navy as a result of the disastrous Behemoth incident,
is faced with the problem of ambitious independent Kilrathi warlords
attempting to rebuild the fallen Kilrathi Empire. Retired Commodore
Jason "Bear" Bondarevsky is reinstated by Landreich President Max
Kruger and called to
the Landreich to refit and take command of a damaged Kilrathi
Bhantkara-class supercarrier, the KIS Karga, later renamed
the FRLS Mjollnir when captured by the Landreich Republic,
in what is called Project Goliath. From there, the threat of
the Kilrathi uprising is fought directly. In the aftermath, Jason
decides to stay with the Landreich Republic and aboard the Mjollnir. Tolwyn
leaves to head off the Strategic Readiness Agency (SRA). [FALSE COLORS ends] WCFC
- The Border

space, secedes from the Confederation of which it had previously
been an official part of during the Intergalactic War, becoming
the Union of Border Worlds/Border Worlds Union. Trouble begins
brewing. WC4,
WC4N
- The TCS Victory
is officially decommissioned, put on public display in an orbital
space museum over Saturn as a Kilrathi War memento. WC4
- The factions
of the beaten Kilrathi Empires eight Great Clans that had

nar Kirankas (the late Thrakaths aid and heir)
followers nor adhered to the Treaty of Torgo fight amongst each
other, each striving to become the next supreme clan after the
failure suffered under Clan Kirankas leadership and administration.
It is a battle for dominance that, once won by any of the clans,
would one day reinstate the Empire under a new emperor. Even
though it is a conflict estimated to take years, even decades,
it is feared by the Confederation they could return, more motivated
and even stronger than before. Much of it transpires on the "Feudal
Planets." WC4N,
WCP
- [WING COMMANDER IV: THE
PRICE OF FREEDOM
begins] After three years of peace, Confederation transports
begin falling prey to an enemy who is believed to be part of
the Union of Border Worlds. The question soon came to the Confederation
council: should war be declared on the Border Worlds? The lack
of hard evidence against anyone makes James Taggart, now a senator,
give the new commander of the SRA,
Fleet Admiral Tolwyn, the objective of looking into the situation.
Recalled from his quiet farming life on Nephele II by a visit
from Major Todd "Maniac" Marshall to active Confed
duty, Colonel Christopher Blair is assigned aboard the TCS Lexington
(not to be confused with the TCS Lexington launched in
2669.011) by request of Admiral Tolwyn, where he is reunited
with TCS Victory commander Captain William Eisen and Winston
"Vagabond" Chang. After Eisen is mysteriously reassigned
and Vagabond defects to the Border Worlds Union, Blair and Marshall
defect as well when it becomes clear there is something terribly
wrong brewing within the Confederation. Coming aboard the carrier
BWS Intrepid (formerly the TCS Delphi. Not to be
confused with the TCS Intrepid that participated in "Operation
Back Lash" in 2667), they become part of a struggle against
the mysterious forces massing against them apparently coming
from the Confederation. The attacks against the Border Worlds
and Confederation are later discovered to be the work of the
Black Lance, a Black Project division group of anti-peace elite
pilots posing as Border Worlders to influence the Confederation
to go to war, led by a genetically enhanced human known only
as Seether. Much to the surprise of the entire Confederation,
it is revealed that Admiral Tolwyn himself assisted the Black
Lance, sharing their beliefs that the only way humanity could
remain strong and "vigilant" into the next intergalactic
conflict would be if it was always fighting. After destroying
Tolwyns supercarrier, the TCS Vesuvius (with the
help of its twin, the St. Helens), and defeating Seether
in a space dogfight en route, Colonel Blair comes before the
council on Earth to confront the admiral, who was reporting back
to the senate in an effort to stir another war after just being
promoted to the rank of space marshal. Space Marshal Tolwyn is
accused of creating the nanobot bio-weapons that had killed 90%
of the population on the planet Telamon IV and other unapproved
Black Projects. He is found guilty of "crimes against humanity"
and is sentenced to death by a tribunal. Tolwyn commits suicide
in his cell only a short time later. Geoffrey is survived by
his nephew, Kevin. [THE

Union of Border Worlds, tracking down privateers and any remnants
of Tolwyns Black Lance forces. Todd "Maniac"
Marshall is given wing command of the TCS Kiev on its
policing of the Confederation border and is promoted to colonel.

For administrative reasons, Blair transfers his commission from
the Space Force to the Space Navy, and attains the rank of commodore
by the time of the Midways shakedown cruise in 2681.
After observing the final phase of the Midways cruise,
Blair plans to retire from active duty and move to Earth, where

Stubborn and convinced of her own righteousness, the governor
refuses to negotiate, and eventually orders military units to
break up the strikes and forces the Andorrans back to work. This
action causes the Andorrans to riot and eventually Governor Subramanian
is forced to flee the sector capital at Covenant. Infuriated,
panicking, and trembling at the prospect of losing her career,
Subramanian orders the sector capital of Covenant bombed. The
order is carried out and millions of Andorrans perish. The bombardment
of Covenant shocks all Andorrans, and soon the Andorra Sector

the Jihtahn Sector and the fortification of its frontiers
effectively puts the Kilrathi threat out of the picture. DeLuge
then turns his attention to the Confederation.

the larger changes made to the projection is the merging of the
Deneb and Antares sectors into one unified sector, the Epsilon
Sector (Deneb and Antares become quadrants within the Epsilon
Sector, beside the SaKhan and TrL Rass quadrants).
The majority of the boundary and name changes to streamline the
projection result in the removal of a great deal of previously
established sectors. WCP
- (A) With their fleets destroyed and the Andorran
raiders operating deep in their rear, the Confederation has no
choice but to sue for peace. The Truce of Dayan is signed, ending
the Secession War and securing the independence of Andorra. [ Chronicled in the PBM,
The Truce of Dayan ]
- (A) Skirmishes occur along Kilrathi-Confed
border in Gemini Sector. Much of the sector falls to the Kilrathi
Imperium, nearly the entire Clarke Quadrant being taken by the
Kilrathi fleets. Perry and New Constantinopole are among those
systems that fall to utter Kilrathi conquest. [ Chronicled in the PBM,
Hell in a Handbasket ]
- (A) A suns flare in the Gemini Sector
opens the Cynium System. A planet within that had been no more
than a dead moon until a stellar flare struck it changes the
stones of the planet to crystallize with power estimated to be
900% more powerful than any modern reactor or fuel engines in
use. The amazing discovery is named Cynium. A conflict of galactic
proportions ensues as the powers of the galaxy fight to obtain
this incredible power source, though the planet Cynium is eventually
destroyed, leaving no side to harness the power it held. [ Chronicled in the PBM,
King of the Mountain ]
- (A) Mangkrah nar Caxki, Emperor of
the Kilrathi Imperium/Ninth Kilrathi Empire, dies. Heir Dgolik
nar Caxki assumes the throne.
- The megacarrier
TCS Midway receives what is perhaps its maiden voyage
as it is called to take on the Kilrathi "Demons Eye
Pack" in the Valgard System of the Epsilon Sector. Colonel
Gash Dekker, formerly of the BWS Intrepid, leads the Midways
Marines on the ground without incident, while two pilots from
the megacarrier become the only casualties of the operation.
WCP
- Hostilities
between the Kilrathi and the Confederation are quelled, leaving
a state of uneasy peace between the two former enemies. After
infighting ceases on the Feudal Planets the Kilrathi become fairly
solidly known as the "Kilrathi Assembly of Clans."
The Confederation is allowed to occupy the Kilrah System, where
mining operations are begun. WCP
- Thirty-six
Kilrathi in the "Demons Eye Pack" that was captured
through the efforts of the TCS Midway convicted of piracy,
murder, and malicious disorder are executed at Valgard. Included
in the mass execution was the pirates leader, Krahtagh
NRyllis, AKA "Bloodeye." The executions are carried
out at 0700 hours at the Valgard Military Prison complex. Despite
the protests of the Kilrathi Provisional Counsel that the prisoners
should be turned over to the Kilrathi for their own traditional
execution, the prisoners are executed as a group, by flash incineration.
WCP
- Confed Astronomical
Station K-105 picks up an unidentified energy surge near Kilrah
Prime. The surge is identified as an equipment malfunction or
the reflection of a solar flare. It is feared, however, to be
the opening of a jump gate or wormhole of some kind. A short
time later, TOBY drones from the TCS Devereaux are destroyed
while exploring the asteroid belt near Kilrah Prime. Three hours
later, the Devereaux itself is destroyed. Meanwhile, the
Sivarist monastic outpost on asteroid K-14G is destroyed as well,
followed by the Astronomical Station K-105. Fighters are scrambled
from Surveillance Outposts Bravo and Delta to recon and respond.
WCP
- The recon
group from Outposts Bravo and Delta jump to the site of K-105.
They do not reestablish contact. The Kilrathi colony on Kilrah
6 and a previously unknown Kilrathi smuggler/insurgent base on
Kilrah 7.4 are destroyed. Surveillance Outposts Alpha, Bravo,
Charlie, and Delta attacked, then presumed destroyed. Kilrah
System is presumed to be in full enemy control. The first of
seven recon missions dispatched into the Kilrah systems from
Talq Naval Station. It does not return as scheduled and
all contact is lost. Talq sends a FLASH message to Earth
and goes to full alert status. Major Leeward Washington and Hugyn
squadron then discovers the remains of a smugglers base
on Kilrah 7.4 during the seventh recon attempt from Talq.
Major Washington quickly completes his recon of Kilrah 7.4 and
returns to Talq with photos and possible enemy artifact:
an irregular slab of hard, crystalline substance, with a hand-print
of one of the appendages of the enemy within its central cavity.
Washingtons is the only recon mission of the seven to return
as scheduled, and the others are presumed lost. Recon missions
are terminated pending the analysis of known data. A short time
later a strike group, lead by Corvette TCS Brack, is dispatched
from Talq to Kilrah 6. WCP
- The last
transmission is received from the TCS Brack. An initial
Terran Confederation Intelligence Assets (TCIA) report on the
incident is compiled and dispatched. The enemy race becomes codenamed
the "Nephilim," after the Hebrew legend of the "giants
in the earth." Two races suspected by Confed Intelligence
to be the Nephilim are the Mantu and the enigmatic "star
gods" of ancient Kilrathi myth. WCP
- [WING COMMANDER: PROPHECY begins] The Nephilim
continues their invasion into both Kilrathi and Confederation
territories. From the megacarrier TCS Midway on its shakedown
cruise, recent TCNSA Academy (graduated on 2680.131) & Flight School
graduate and son of Major Michael
"Iceman" Casey, 2nd Lieutenant Lance ("Frosty"?)
R. Casey, comes aboard and completes a series of tactical operations
to stop the Nephilims advance under the watchful eye of
Commodore Blair, who at one point becomes captured and probed
by the aliens before being recovered by Midway Marines.
In the end, their wormhole gateway into Kilrathi space in the
Kilrah System is obliterated through the efforts of Midway
fighters and Marines. When the Marines could not reach the last
"tower" of the wormhole gateways structure, Commodore
Blair boards it himself and completes their work, though not
before being attacked by one of the Nephilim. As such, when the
gateway is destroyed, Blair is still in it. The undeclared war
is feared to continue. Blair is survived by no immediate relatives.
[PROPHECY ends] WCP
- The TCS Midway
becomes scheduled to return to the Sol Sector as part of
a sector wide tour beginning with a Confederation Military reception
at the Jupiter Station. The initial reception is set to feature
kenote speaker Governor Cavazos, Admiral Rayak, and Commander
Patricia Drake, CAG of the Midway. Executives from Bartok
Enterprises are set to be on hand to discuss the launch of the
Confederations "newest weapon against terror,"
the "Hades"-class strike cruiser TCS Cerberus.
This quick response military vessel is set to be put to work
keeping the peace in the systems hardest hit by the alien menace.
After the Midway leaves Jupiter, it is scheduled to make
its way straight to Earth, where it will stop at the Terran Shipyard
Arcology. The governing staff of the Arcology, which is home
to more than two hundred thousand, begins immediate preparations
for the arrival. WCSO
- The Kreiger
Starbase CIS Operations Liaison calls in the newly commissioned
TCS Cerberus. As the TCS Midway returns to Sol
System for refit and a tour of the tax-paying colonies, pilots
from the Midway including now-1st Lieutenants Lance Casey,
Jean "Stiletto" Talvert, and Max "Maestro"
Garret are transferred to the Cerberus in the Courage
System before the Midway reaches Jupiter. WCSO
- [WING COMMANDER: SECRET
OPS begins]
The TCS Cerberus, pilots and crew aboard, begins operations,
cleaning house on the leftovers from the Nephilim threat, the
stragglers of which and new entrants now having penetrated into
the Sol Sector. The threat is halted in the Proxima System, where
a Nephilim Stellar-Accretion Device, using the unique energy
of Proximas twin suns, nearly creates a permanent wormhole.
[SECRET OPS ends] WCSO
- The memorial
service for Commodore Christopher Blair is carried out. The festivities
are held on Earth in New York City and Hightower Flats, Nephele
II. Holo-Link testimonials from as far as the Repleetah and Avalon
systems are heard, painting the picture all would wish to remember
of Blair. The Nephelese council announce their plans to turn
the farm Blair bought at the end of the Kilrathi War as a historical
site. His home is to be converted into a museum containing personal
effects as well as historic memorabilia from the duration of
Blairs career. Director (of what has been termed the "Heart
of the Tiger" memorial and museum of military history) Ushio
Jergun is stated as saying, "We look forward to visitors
and citizens of Nephele [II] visiting the museum and gaining
a deeper understanding of the commitment and sacrifice shown
by not only Commodore Blair, but the millions who gave their
lives in search of an end to hostile conflict. This will stand
as not only a memorial to the memory of a great man, but to the
potential all sentient beings have to resolve even the deepest
and most critical conflicts through a reliance on the pure mediators
of truth and justice." Some criticism is leveled against
the council of Nephele II in regards to the appropriateness of
a Blair memorial on their world. Blair only spent a short time
on the world between the end of the Kilrathi war and the Border
World/Black Lance conflict he also helped resolve. Director Jergun
points out that the only significant time Blair spent as an adult
that was not aboard a military carrier or station was at the
Terran Confederation Naval Space Academy. Jergun then adds, "Even
though his time on Nephele [II] was brief, this was the world
he turned to when he wanted a home. We honor his decision, his
memory, and his foresight, with this small gesture of respect."
