THE ANDORRA
SECTOR
A sector
of much scrutiny and conflict in its early days. The Andorra Sectors
secession in 2674 was what began the violent Secession Wars that
would last for several more years until the Andorra Sector was
freed from Confederation jurisdiction in 2679, allowing them to
form the Andorran Republic and spread into the Spinward Unknown
Territory. The sector holds the Avery Quadrant, Muizz Quadrant,
Wei Quadrant, and Sheridan Quadrant. Jumps out lead to the Belfor
Sector and Jihtahn Sector. The Andorra Sector is adjacent
to the Avalon Sector, likely above it and the Belfor Sector.
THE BELFOR
SECTOR
A Confederation
sector likely above the Avalon Sector and beneath the Andorra
Sector. The Belfor Sector was the site of the Andorran Republics "Operation Magenta" offensive
during the ongoing Secession War of 2674-2679, which penetrated
deep into the sector and cut off the Confederations front-line fleets.
THE ENIGMA
SECTOR
A sector
that has known little but turmoil over the centuries. Once, during
the Second Enigma Campaign of 2665, when Ghorah Khar sought Confederation
protection, the Kilrathi nearly used the Enigma Sector to advance
upon Terran homeworlds of the Sol Sector. The Enigma Sector also
holds 9 Border Worlds systems.
THE EPSILON
SECTOR
An active
sector, the Epsilon Sector contains both the Antares and Deneb
Quadrants (formerly thought to be individual sectors). By 2681,
the Kilrathi Assembly of Clans holds over 60% of the sector, encompassing
90% of the SaKahn Quadrant, the entire
TrL Rass Quadrant, and 75% of the Antares
Quadrant. One of the first sectors explored and colonized by the
Terran Exploratory Services (ES), the Deneb Quadrant contains
the planet Goddard, a planet that was once nearly destroyed by
a Kilrathi superweapon in 2654, just prior to the Confederation
Space Navys retaliatory "Operation Thors Hammer."
The Antares Quadrant is home to the Firekkan Planetary Alliance,
a bird-like race that found their planet becoming the target of
the Kilrathi Sivar-Eshrad ceremony in 2655. After becoming
a part of the Confederation, the Firekkans remained in relative
seclusion until 2684, at which time they found themselves the
victim of a ruthless space marshal and seceeded from the Confederation,
forming the Firekkan Commonwealth. The Epsilon Sector also contains
18 Border Worlds systems.
THE FACIN SECTOR
A sector
on the outskirts of space that played a role in the McAuliffe
engagement of 2634. Plan Orange Five called for Confed forces
to push the Kilrathi into the Facin Sector, though it was proven
to be a foolish plan.
THE GEMINI
SECTOR
A sector
with a long history of conflict, the Gemini Sector borders on
the outer rim beside Kilrathi space and uncharted territory. During
the Kilrathi War, it had to contend with both an army of religious
fanatic anti-technology "Retros" that plagued its people,
and the Kilrathi Empire itself. The Gemini Sector once seceeded
from the Confederation in 2674, forming the Gemini Alliance, but
was crushed a year later. Around the year of 2679, the Gemini
Sector was subjected to a brutal invasion by the Kilrathi Imperium
(Second Kilrathi Empire), losing an entire quadrant, though it
was soon recovered. It is now a hub of merchants, traders, and
privateers. The Gemini Sector holds the infamous Fariss, Clarke,
Humboldt, and Potter Quadrants.
THE KILRAH
SECTOR
The root
sector of what is now the Kilrathi Assembly of Clans, the Kilrah
Sector houses the Kilrah System and the Kilrathi homeworld of
Kilrah. In 2669, Colonel Christopher "Maverick" Blair
destroyed Kilrah with a Temblor Bomb, bringing about the surrender
of the Kilrathi Empire. In 2681.018, the Nephilim invaded Kilrathi
territory from where was once the planet Kilrah. The Confederation
destroyed the Nephilims wormhole in the Kilrah
System, halting the invasion.
SOL SECTOR
The root
sector of Confederation space, Sol Sector houses Sol System and
Earth itself.
THE VEGA SECTOR
One of
the foremost battlegrounds of the Kilrathi/Confederation conflict
as early as 2634, it became the site of the historic Vega Sector
Campaign of 2654. The Vega Sector also holds 13 Border Worlds
systems.
THE VIDUR SECTOR
Once an
unimportant faction of the Confederation for the better part of
600 years, the Vidur Sector, which houses the three systems known
as the "Tri-System," likely became independent during
the Depression of 2760-70, possibly in which a massive portion
of the expanding Confederation and its colonies declared their
region neutral (though maintaining trade with their Confed neighbors).
The Tri-System is more than likely located on the uppermost edge
of Neutral Space, directly against both Andorran and Confederation
lines. The Tri-System itself is made up of the Hom System, Irrulan
System, and Issac systems.
ETRURIA
A region of space adjacent to Landreich, possibly within Border
Worlds territory like its Landreich neighbor. It is one of the
Confederations flanks.
LANDREICH
An unspecified "neutral zone" region of space between
the Confederation and Kilrathi Assembly of Clans that houses the
Landreich Republic, somewhere within the Border Worlds territories
in the Epsilon, Vega, and TrkPahn sectors, within which
an assortment of privateers, smugglers, and merchants do their
business from any side or allegiance. It houses its capital system
and planet Hell Hole.
WILD SPACE
Regions of space surrounding the domain of the "Double-Helix."
Wild Space is volatile space, plagued with frequent electromagnetic
storms and other harmful phenomena to the degree that it is, for
the most part, untraversable by conventional spacecraft.
