I knew you would. I may pick 'em up some day. I'll be going to my Kindle in a couple weeks when I head back to Maine for a couple weeks with the fam.

Yup, I've got all 3 in my kindle. Don't remember much about it, other than zombie Dinos tearing the world apart. It was a while ago I read it, but I remembered liking them as I would like a decent B movie flick.

Hey, have you read the Jurassic Dead book trilogy? A recent issue of G-Fan was saying good things about it and sounded like something I've either seen you post or you would read.

I had one of the original AvP books and picked up part one recently. Gotta get the conclusion some time, but there's no hurry since I haven't started reading them.

I just started another Aliens novel trilogy. There's no actual name to the trilogy itself, but it has 3 separate titles for each novel that connect together. First book was Out of the Shadows, and had Ripley as a main character. Second book is Sea of Sorrows, which I'm on now. So far, the connection seems to be a mining planet that has an underground dead civilization with Xenos thrown in.

I think the thing that was off-putting at first was that they chipped away at the mystique of both species on the one side by weaponizing the Xenos and making them controllable by humans (the plan that didn't work in Alien: R) and on the other by having the Yautja actually communicate with people and being willing to work with them. But I just thought of it as a kind of "what if" tale and the story was pretty engaging. I also like the ending---victory at a cost.
