THR <\/a>spoke with WB executive Greg Silverman about the strategy they are taking with DC Comics adaptations and well, its vastly different from the cheaper Marvel\/Disney route but may end up being the more riskier venture. Read below for quotes.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cWe have a great strategy for the DC films, which is to take these beloved characters and put them in the hands of master filmmakers and make sure they all coordinate with each other. You\u2019ll see the difference when you see\u00a0Batman v. Superman<\/em>,\u00a0Suicide Squad<\/em>,\u00a0Justice League<\/em>\u00a0and all the things that we are working on.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/blockquote>\n Zack Snyder is working on BvS and Justice League <\/em>while David Ayer (who recently directed Fury<\/em>) is currently filming Suicide Squad, <\/em>Emmy nominated Patty Jenkins is attached to direct Wonder Woman. <\/em>Today, Fast and Furious 7 <\/em>director James Wan was announced for the Jason Momoa starring Aquaman <\/em><\/a>film. Adding Wan to the list is great, especially when\u00a0Chris Lord and Phil Miller are probably going to join the ranks of that group with their treatment of The Flash<\/em>. But what does Silverman have to say about the perceived “darkness” of the DC slate so far?<\/p>\n \u201cThere is intensity and a seriousness of purpose to some of these characters. The filmmakers who are tackling these properties are making great movies about superheroes; they aren\u2019t making superhero movies. And when you are trying to make a good movie, you tackle interesting philosophies and character development.
