IGN <\/a>had a quick chat with Green Lantern Corps<\/em> writer Van Jensen about the upcoming tie-in issue<\/a> to the Batman minievent “Zero Year.” Check out what Van had to say below, and take a look at Bernard Chang’s cover for GLC #25.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Van on how the crossover came about, John Stewart’s missing origin, and not worrying about fitting in with the Batbooks:<\/p>\n \u201cNo one pushed the crossover down our throats,\u201d he said. \u201cThe Batman editors just let other editors know that Zero Year was happening, and they offered the chance to do a crossover if it would benefit our books in terms of story. And when we thought about it, very quickly we saw an opportunity to tell what amounts to a John Stewart origin story.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cWe’ll learn more about a couple of periods in John’s life: his childhood, and his time in the Marines.
