Two upcoming installments of DC\u2019s\u00a0Dark Nights: Death Metal<\/em><\/strong>saga have both sold out ahead of their on-sale dates, and DC has announced second printings on the way to meet demand for these hotly anticipated issues! More and more readers are jumping into DC\u2019s Metalverse with each issue of this heavy-metal summer-event miniseries!<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Dark Nights: Death Metal <\/em><\/strong>#3<\/strong> by Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo, in stores August 11, has sold out ahead of on-sale, along with the anthology one-shot Dark Nights: Death Metal Legends of the Dark Knights <\/em>#1<\/strong>, in stores August 4. These issues continue the unfolding story of DC’s most metal-est event of all time, and also feature early appearances of new antagonist the Robin King.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“He’s definitely one of our darkest creations, but I love him because I want the heroes to go up against something that says ‘Everything you believe people to be, everything you hope we are, we aren’t,'” Snyder told\u00a0Newsarama<\/a>\u00a0in a recent interview. “I want to show that with the Batman Who Laughs and the Robin King.”

\u201cThe unabashed energy of\u00a0Dark Nights:\u00a0Death\u00a0Metal<\/em>\u00a0#1 is the sort of thing most event books would kill to emulate,\u201d\u00a0Newsarama<\/a>\u00a0said in their review ofSnyder and Capullo\u2019s first issue, while\u00a0Geek Dad<\/a>\u00a0said \u201cthis is one of the most unpredictable first issues I can remember, with callbacks to some of the greatest DC events of all time.\u201d\u00a0AiPT<\/a>\u00a0includes that Snyder and Capullo \u201care going down in comics history as one of the most dynamic, creative teams of all time,\u201d while\u00a0ComicBook<\/a>\u00a0said \u201cthey seem to be having an absolute ball creating this crazy world, and you’ll have just as much fun getting lost in it.\u201d

Dark Nights: Death Metal #3<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>arrives in stores August 11 while\u00a0Dark Nights: Death Metal #<\/em>3\u2019s second printing will arrive two weeks later in shops August 25 with a recolored version of the original cover by Greg Capullo.

Dark Nights: Death Metal Legends of the Dark Knights<\/em>\u00a0#<\/strong>1\u2019s second printing also arrives in shops August 25 with a recolored version of the original cover by Tony S. Daniel, three weeks after\u00a0Dark Nights: Death Metal Legends of the Dark Knights<\/em>\u00a0#1 hits shelves on August 4.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
