When I spoke to DC Co-Publisher Dan DiDio at the San Diego Comic Con in 2011, it was very pleasant. It had only been just 24hrs ago when his words upset me to the point where I was kicking every door I would see. In both conversations, we spoke about the missing character, Wally West aka The Flash.

The first time we spoke was during a panel where there was no chance of discussion or even reply, for the fellow geek behind you was breathing down my neck in anticipation of his own chance to speak with the panel. I won't bore you with the amusing and anger inciting way Dan dismissed me details, because I want to focus on the character not the people behind him. When I spoke to the Dan on the show floor, it cooled my anger. He told me why my favorite character would not be seen, and while I disagreed with his reasoning, I was happy that they had thought about it.

I got over that happiness though. Dan's a charmer, and I love him for that. He charmed me on that floor. Invoking Wally's children into the conversation with a sense of fulfillment and disappointment, that made him seem like me, just another fan. Again, I got over that.
Dan recently attended the MegaCon convention in Florida, where he restated to others what he had told me. Let us break down the reasoning behind Wally's absence and see if the world's most popular superhero, Batman, can help us bring him back.
