Courtesy of Newsarama's recent column , I've decided to try and break down how a potential Justice League movie can be made, and done well.

With excitement rising daily for the "Avengers" movie and all its potential glory, its only a matter of time before the new DC Entertainment decides to throw their chips into the pot and make a JLA movie. How soon can that be achieved? Not very likely in the next half decade. I'd say we would be lucky to see it in the next 10 years. Why? SUPERMAN and the Siegels. You simply can't have a Justice League movie without big blue, and with the "origin problems" becoming another "Watchmen" fiasco, we're likely to see more...less than Super characters arrive before JLA.

Legalities aside can the movie be made? Sure. Future "Green Lantern" star Ryan Reynolds is said to have both a sequel and spin-off clause in his contract, and "The Dark Knight"'s Christian Bale is legally bound to do a third film with or without director Chris Nolan. If Nolan decides to pass on a future Batman film(which he probably won't), Bale's contract can be used for a JLA movie.

The problem comes in with getting other characters. As Troy initially stated, WB/DC can go the cheapest route and cast unknowns. However, it doesn't have to be so cut and dry. Let's not forget that the new "FLASH" movie is also a byproduct of DC Entertainment. That's one more added with a potential franchise and sequel contract. We can all agree that Wonder Woman will be the most difficult to cast and will gain the most attention from the general public. The "Justice League" script by Michele and Kieran Mulroney set up potential franchises, most notably Flash and Wonder Woman.

So why not make things easier on both the actors and the studio by ignoring Marvel's (somewhat proven) setup and going full force with JLA now? It becomes much cheaper for the studio to set up a Justice League film with potential spinoffs based on audience reception than to start franchises that could possibly fail, and set the entire league back 15 years. Is this getting through? I'm actually complimenting WB for their actions during the writer's strike. Making the Justice League movie when they planned on it was fine, their casting was questionable but I heard absolutely no complaints about the script. Not to mention it had both Barry Allen and Wally West.

What's the story that could feature both Flashes, bring together an Amazon, Kryptonian, a ring slinger, and a Martian? OMACS. That was the plan, and I'm not against it. Michael Bay has taught us that robots make money, and Terminator: Salvation taught us that they can look amazing in the right light. Elements of Batman's betrayal, Superman finally getting his hands dirty, comedy from a young Wally West, the amazing heroics of a Princess in a foreign land, and a potential death of a Flash? The only thing missing is the always present romantic subplot, and I hear Wally had some pretty great one liners about Diana's attire.

Maxwell Lord would make for a pretty dramatic and disposable villain. Potential cameos from Amanda Waller and the Suicide Squad(which is in development in case you forgot) along with minor hints at a greater evil can lead into a potential sequel with the bringer of the 5th world, Darkseid.

If in the end, the movie fails, DCE can choose another hero to make us forget. That's the business. There is no formula for success with superhero movies(see X3)

If it fails...We still have the memory of "The Dark Knight"
