Back again for Wally's Pick of the Week! In case you don't know, this is where I pick MY favorite comic book issue of the week out of all my books. This weeks(I know I'm late) pick is Wonder Woman #28.

Not much to say about this issue other than GREAT. This is without a doubt the best single issue of Wonder Woman that I've ever read. In this issue Diana gets her swagger back and goes to enact revenge on Genocide who is EASILY smashing up the JLA. Aaron Lopresti's art took a while for me to get accustomed to, but in this issue he shines. The art isn't Phillip Tan epic-ness but its a perfect fit for Gail Simones writing.

I like that Gail isn't shying away from using Donna Troy(and Wonder Girl) because Diana has too few personal relationships with characters for them not to be included in her biggest battle ever. Diana also shares a nice romantic moment in this issue with Nemesis aka Tom Tresser. It was nice to see Gail show some passion out of Diana after all this buildup of their relationship. The Manazons and Zeus are coming soon so that should help the title in terms of the staleness I'm getting from Genocide(who is the worst looking badass of all time).

Final Rating: 4.5/5

Other Comics This Week:

Batman #685- 3.5/5 Decent end to a great first issue.

Final Crisis #7- 4/5 Good ending, but not as thrilling as expected

Final Crisis Revelations #5- 4/5 Deep stuff in this issue, handled very well by Rucka. Where's my Question ongoing?

Superman #684- 3/5 Another average Superman book. This defines inconsistency.

See you next week where we get a new Jonah Hex issue where any month can be his last, X-Men Noir #3....That's it. Don't be surprised if I skip this week.
