Back again for Wally's Pick of the Week! In case you don't know, this is where I pick MY favorite comic book issue of the week out of all my books. This week including the greatest character in comics, my personal favorite character in comics, the greatest female character in comics and a first eye look at Marvel....With that being said, this weeks pick is Batman #683...shocker, right?
I could easily paste my detailed thoughts on this fantastic issue, from the Last Rites thread, but instead I'll save space and let you click the link below.

Adding onto everything said there, this BY FAR the best tie-in to Final Crisis that's out. And that's saying something because those tie-ins stand alone as great works, but so does #683, and boy does it fucking shine! I know it seems that every other week I'm praising Batman(and Grant "The Genius" Morrison) but its all well deserved. Batman is THE BEST book out in comics....EASILY. Grant Morrison writes Batman like no other, and he really does make him into "the most dangerous man on Earth"(the words of Superman from Grant's first arc). I mean c'mon! He used his memories as a weapon! The pain he has to endure was enough to make thousands of "droids" want to claw their eyes out!
I have exhausted myself on this issue...I'd much rather read your opinions. So, either leave a comment here or go run to your LCS(local comic shop) and pick up the issue then leave a comment here(or in the Last Rites thread).
Final Rating: 4.999/5
Other Books This Week:
Marvels: Eye of the Camera #2- 3/5 (Not nearly as good or good looking as the first issue)
KICK-ASS #5- 2/5 (More violence-less story from Mark Millar. This book has fallen off sooo hard.)
Wonder Woman #27- 2/5 (Just boring. Even the carnage by Genocide bored me. Glad Gail didn't forget about Donna and Cassie though)
The Flash #247- 3/5 (Not terrible but could/should have been so much better. My LCS owner didn't even know it was the last issue till the day of. DC dropped the ball on that. Maybe they downplayed Wally's bitchslap because he'll be A-Ok after Rebirth and continue to be a prominent figure in the DCU....or not.
BTW, Did anyone pick up Vigilante #1?
See you next week where we get the Last Days of Gotham by Dennis O'Neil, the second issue of Batman(Cacophony) by Kevin Smith, Teen Titans, and Superman #683!
R.I.P. Wally's Run
I was wondering about Vigilante also....Looked kind of cool, but I passed b/c I'm not a big Punisher fan and this seemed like Punisher in a mask.
