    Let's talk about Henshaw.

I for one am sick of Superman Villains turning into GL villains, how about you?

Not that I don't like Henshaw as a GL villain - I do like him, but we have

    Henshaw
    Mongul
    SBP

off the top of my head that started as Superman villains and turned GL villains.

I don't think Henshaw, Mongul (rather, Mongul II now), or SBP have exclusively become Green Lantern villains.

i was going to say the mongul who played a part in coast city has been dead since before final night, I know mongul II had issues with GL before infinite crisis but I think he is still a villian for anyone that opposes him.

Superboy prime might be part of the sinestro corps but I think he is hellbent on his own agenda.

as far a henshaw I think he is a great Gl villian and i don't think the anti monitor will be able to destory him either.

Mongul is like Darkseid or Deathstroke. He's a evil for everyone.

I don't think so given what Henshaw has done to the DCU. It makes sense that the damage he causes effects more than just Superman. I mean think about it.. Henshaw wasn't just a Superman villain. He and Doomsday where THE threats against Superman in the 90s.

In his three appearances it took teams to take him down. And in all those three appearances he wasn't just a threat to Supes but a threat to everything.

He took on Darkseid, Apoklips, Superboy, Eradicator, Green Lantern, Supergirl, Steel, Alpha Centurion, and Superman for several moments in those storylines was actually winning.

Also take in consideration that Henshaw doesn't just hate Superman he hates all life. It reminds him of what he once was and it gnaws at him that he'll never have that simple human life ever again. And if he's not going to have it he'll ruin the name of someone good and decent as much as he can till someone stops him.

Given that type of idealogy is it any wonder someone like the Cyborg Superman is not just a Superman but a GL Rogue?

I get the point Zechs, but he started as a Superman villian

also at this point (finally) he nolonger has the S Shield so I refuse to call him Cyborg Superman - he is Hank Henshaw until he takes some other stupid name

But the fact is the S Shield isn't a part of his costume. It was just there as a symbol for Henshaw to warp the very name of Krypton and the very ideals Superman clings too.

This is the second time Henshaw has gone away from wearing the S symbol. Much like his post first appearance (as the Cyborg Superman) when he next appeared in Hunter/Prey he dropped the S Symbol for the Apoklips battle armor. Though unlike that time the crest of the Sinestro Corps symbol is still shaped of Superman's unlike SMP's.

So in a way he's still giving warping and destroying the ideals of Krypton with what he does. The symbol is but one part of him destroying Krypton's legacy. The other half is the fact he's using Kryptonian techonlogy.

The Warworld being used right now in Sinestro Corps War? Some of that no doubt has Kryptonian tech or was built by Kryptonian robots (as seen in GL #4). So in a way War World is the bastardized vision of using Kryptonian tech the very wrong way.

It was part of his costume as it was there on his chest I know the reasons differ for him, but he still wore it

I have the DCSH fig here which proves it is part of his costume

                  I agree on that one..
When I first read about Mongul, it was when he tried to kill Kyle in one of those first issues written by Marz!!
I was a kid back then, and read Action COmics Annual 11 many years later, but after that I always "felt" Mongul as a GL villain..
I just think villains belong to the DCU, not to a specific character.. no need to be jealous and share..
                  Like Deathstroke or Zoom!

Yeah but it was only his costume for the time of Reign to Superman's Return so just a year. The Apoklips armor form is so far his longest lasting form which started in Hunter/Prey ('late 93 or early '94) and ended with Superman: Red/Blue ('98). After that he returns to his Superman costume for an arc about Kandor then later debuting his Phantom Zone costume. Though let us not forgot that during The Trial of Superman, Henshaw began to go simply by, "The Cyborg" given Vic Stone was going by another name in the Titans books and honestly that really is his true name given what he really is since by that time period he had absorbed not just kryptonian tech but also numerous other's (Apoklips, who knows how many countless worlds between the former of that to this later, and the trial world).

However, if we're to take in account what he said in vol. 4 of GL to be true then Geoff retconned his appearances with Superman and the last real appearance of Henshaw was in the Parallax Final Night one shot which is given more evidence in the Sinestro Corps Special with the Guardians showing three of Henshaw's forms.

part of his costume yeah, but whether he is in a Gl story or even in countdown.. that symbol is apart of his plot to destroy superman's legacy, and that is a good enough reason for me to see him still use it.

as far as i know he is simply the cyborg

as far as DCSH the figure had to be labeled cyborg superman for the non comic book reading public.

I'm sorry you hate superman but the bottom line to escape that symbol entirely means to stop reading DC.

I am not sorry that I hate Big Blue

Yeah, I understand but that symbol means he is a Supes villain to me. I am glad they pitched it for the Sin Corps logo.

Then enjoy his special cause it seems Henshaw beats the living snot out of Supes.

The fact is the symbol is just one part of his FU to superman. He has more ways to twist that kryptonian knife in. Like these panels show us:
