I watched Hellboy 2 once, and it was late at night so I feel asleep a few times. So, I didn't give it a fair viewing. I'll have to watch it again sometime.

BTW, where to Green Lantern rank on your list?

I can't make a ranking but it would be down on the list a ways. You liked First Class enough to put it at #3?

First Class was indeed awesome but your disrespect for Scott Pilgrim saddens and angers me.

You put Fantastic Four and X-men: The Last Stand above Watchmen? Yikes...

I think I'm too old to enjoy Scott Pilgrim. Some parts reminded me of the Adam West Batman tv show. It just wasn't my cup of tea.

I have the Director's Cut of Watchmen and I've seen it a couple of times. Rorschach stole the film. The rest of the characters were pretty flat.

Wow, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles at 7? But I agree with your ranking of Green Lantern.

The bottom end of this list are the ones I absolutely loathe and may not be in a particular order. I am not counting animated films.

I like these

1) Superman
2) Dark Knight
3) Scott Pilgrim vs the World
4) X-men: First Class
5) Superman II
6) Batman '66: The Movie
7) Batman Begins
8) Batman & Robin (Admit it. It's hilarious)
9) Men in Black
10) Iron Man
11) The Rocketeer
12) X-men 2
13) Hellboy 2

These ones had a fucktonne of problems but still weren't totally rotten.

14) Watchmen
15) V for Vendetta
16) 300
17) Sin City

Now the ones that were dull but not awful. Can't be bothered numbering them.

Spiderman
Superman 4 (In an MST3K kind of way just like Batman & Robin)
Hellboy
Iron Man 2
The Mask
X-men
Green Lantern

Lastly the ones I saw and hate.

Batman '89
Batman Returns
Kick-Ass
Wanted
Ghost Rider
Spawn
Superman Returns
Fantastic 4
Fantastic 4: 2
Punisher 1 & 2
Blade 1, 2 & 3
X-men 3
Captain America '90
Catwoman
Judge Dredd
Daredevil
Electra
From Hell
League of Extraordinary Gentlemen
Constantine
Men in Black II
The Spirit
Superman 3
Tank Girl

If it is not above. I have not seen it. Also I didn't pay to see Catwoman. It was on Cypriot TV. I have only seen 15 minutes of Supergirl so didn't want to list it.

  33. Daredevil
  34. Scott Pilgrim vs. The World

So movies like Spider-Man 3, Elektra, Batman and Robin, Hulk, Superman III , IV, and Returns are so bad they aren't on your list?

I can't make a complete list right now. But If I did Green Lantern would probably in the twenties and be one step ahead of Thor!

As time goes on, GL slips more and more down my list. I don't have the utter disdain for it that some of you do though. Some of the movies you guys listed I can't even dignify by putting on my list, so I suppose it's all a matter of taste.

I stopped at 20. It's a more pshychologically satisfying number. Also, if I can't fit it into my top 20, it's not worth counting:

  1. The Dark Knight
  2. Iron Man
  3. Superman
  4. Spider-Man 2
  5. V For Vendetta
  6. Superman II
  7. Watchmen
  8. Batman Begins
  9. Green Lantern
  10. The Incredible Hulk
  11. Thor
  12. Iron Man 2
  13. Sin City
  14. Spiderman
  15. 300
  16. Hellboy
  17. X-Men
  18. X Men 2
  19. Hellboy II
  20. The Rocketeer

I was just trying to be comprehensive. Hence why I didn't number the dregs. Also hurrah for the Rocketeer.

Wow, that's two people that have First Class in their top 3. I thought it was borderline average at best. Why do people like it so much? Their were a ton of goofs in the movie too.

All of these movies have their faults but the good outweighs the bad.

Kick-Ass was extremely forgettable. All I remember is the car and jetpack, the ugly red outfit and a rocket launcher.

I have to say I was surprised by no Superman. Then again not like you have to explain yourself to anyone.

I kept bumping Superman down, until he wasn't on the list. I saw that movie far too late to appreciate it. So for me, the Superman movies are all forgettable. They have moments of course but most of these movies I enjoyed a great deal.

The Rocketeer is underappreciated. As are The Shadow and The Phantom, movies in the same vein and time.

I fell aspleep twice while watching it at the drive in. It had some good parts, but doesn't deserve the rave reviews (IMO).
