So I was reading a article on Bloomberg earlier about Disney+ (see link at the bottom) and this jumped out at me. It's a quote from Kevin Feige.
So both the WandaVision series and the Loki series will tie into the Dr. Strange sequel. That's interesting to know. It's also going to make for a interesting experiment. How many of the average moviegoers will have actually seen those shows before seeing the movie, and will the movie be able to be watched, as a standalone, without those shows stories as a backbone to the plot. Big questions there. One that will more than likely will result if successful in more non-standard media being used to supplement or setup big budget movies, at least in the MCU. in future.

If you want to understand everything in future Marvel movies, he says, you’ll probably need a Disney+ subscription, because events from the new shows will factor into forthcoming films such as Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The Scarlet Witch will be a key character in that movie, and Feige points out that the Loki series will tie in, too. “I’m not sure we’ve actually acknowledged that before,” he says. “But it does.”
