Odd that they're doing so this late?

Season 3 was kinda Luke-warm. (Insert Tauntaun joke here). So far, Season 2 has been my personal favorite, but even if it's late, you know they are gonna get at least 2 or 3 more seasons out of this show.

Seriously? Season 2 had its moments but -- to me -- is dead last. They just never brought things together in the end.

Season 3 turned things around.

I was bored throughout much of Season 3. It just didn't....gel right for me. The gang started going their separate ways, the whole Russian angle thing had me more mixed up than the freakin ice cream shop, and big dad cop still hadn't gotten it on with dead boy's mom, which is really driving me nuts. I will say though, that Priah Ferguson, who plays Lucas' little sister owned that whole season. I was loling every time she spoke.

Huh. I biggest gripes about 2 was that it never quite "came together," there was no payoff to 11's friends (and then they don't even show up in season 3, making them even more pointless), and the Mind Flayer just wasn't a satisfying villain. The end should have felt triumphant with sealing the gate but it just kind of stops.

Season 3? They definitely corrected the Mind Flayer into a terrifying -- and material -- big bad, and boy what a finale. I would have liked Will to have been given more to do than just whine, but I get that they wanted to give him a break from all the torment he went through in the first two seasons.

Season 2 and 3 exploded in awesomeness for me with the addition of Billy and the Mrs Wheeler subplot. God damn those scenes are dipped in gold!!!

Dude, when Mrs Wheeler got out of the bubble bath with her hair and makeup all done up looking sexy as hell, then answered the door and it was Billy, I almost came off the couch cheering. I was suddenly reliving my youth rooting for him.

I guess I never realized she was a MILF until the pool stuff in 3.

Well to be fair they dressed her up very conservatively in season 1, and the Reagan '84 sign in their yard didn't help to show what a bad girl she is at heart. Ahh, Mrs Wheeler...every teenage bad boy needs his own Mrs Wheeler!

Sidenote... going through Mad Men and had no idea she was in that. All I can say is "wow."
