The point of this Forum Section

Some members are a little iffy on what should go in the Games & Humor forum section so.

Trivial games like "the person above you game" should be placed in this forum.

Humor of all kinds also belongs here, like the "Superman has a problem with kinky sex" thread.

What does not belong here would be things like video games, board games. Or humor coming directly out of comic books or discussion of books.

Boardgames and the like would go in the Action Figure and Toys section as could video games, though those could also be posted in the General Forum Section.

also any posts in this Forum Section do not count towards your post count.

Hope that helps!

The internet has spawned a whole industry of stories that target women and that men don't give a crap about. So I'm launching a thread to study that phenomenon.

    Exhibit A:

Men don't care about the "scandal" over how Justin Bieber eats burritos. And they especially don't care what Chrissy Teigen thinks about it. Men might wonder why he apparently cuts his own hair though.

Nobody should give a shit about Paris Hilton's engagement ring. No man does.

Somehow I can't put this very high on my list of things to get offended about.

I think it was wrong to mock the kid's name, because it isn't the kid's choice and they don't deserve mockery. That said, I think that parents that give their kids oddball names just because they thought they were cute or clever are being rather selfish and inconsiderate. If your name is literally the first five letters of the alphabet, it is pretty obvious that somebody is going to be remarking on that at some point. Why set your child up for that?

Wait until that kid starts school. Then she'll catch pure hell. And it'll be the parents' fault.

My sister asked me for suggestions about what to name her son, and I told her to just name him something he wouldn't get harassed about.

Every day I see new stories with the theme, "How can Olivia Jade come back from this?" Well, she'll come back because the media want her back, but almost no men will care.

Judging by what's posted on the Internet, you'd think that women care only about the British royals, celebrities, the Kardashians and reality shows in general, and fashion trends.

Are content providers misjudging women that badly, or are women really that shallow?

As far as I can tell, none of the women I know well enough to know something of their interests care about any of those things. Make of that what you will.

I don't know any women who follow the Kardashians. But I know several who are heavily into the British royals and celebrities.

The content providers know how many clicks that stuff gets. If it didn't get a lot, they couldn't sell advertising to accompany it.

Perhaps the people that follow those sorts of things are more susceptible to advertising, and thus more attractive to advertisers? I dunno.

Though, without knowing how much advertisers charge for ads accompanying that stuff, we can't really judge how popular it is, can we? Advertisers can (and do) sell ads almost anywhere, they just sell them cheaper in some places than others.
