why is Larfleeze holding a Indigo Lantern in his hands? Aren't the staffs that they hold their lanterns? Artist mistake?

Yeah, the New Guardians cover is weird. If those were the NG batteries, Munk would not have his staff, Larfleeze would, and Kyle's battery is drawn wrong. Also, Saint Walker and a Sapphire battery are missing.

I think you guys are looking too much into the new guardians cover. They CAN tweak the odd thing you know , they said the gl stuff would be BARELY untouched.Plus it's just a cover.

GL cover's pretty cool.

1. It's just a cover people jeez.

2. You should be thanking the heavens that Andy Kubert has blessed us with a cover.

Then those people should invest in laser eye surgery. Unfortunately, he's only doing the cover.

The truth will rock the Corps to its foundation!

The secret behind the stolen rings will be revealed and the status of Kyle Rayner within the Green Lantern Corps will be changed – forever!

Oh my god SHUT UP ALREADY DC!!!!

On the plus side....

If Red Lanterns winds up being a collection of stories about how each Red Lantern becomes a Red Lantern and less about what the Red Lanterns do as a group I'd be much more interested in it.

Solicitations are meant to sell the buyers on ordering more, so if DC (and the rest of the comic industry) sees that people buy what they believe to be the more important stories then you'll continue to get blurbs like that one. Don't blame them for selling their product, blame them when it doesn't live up to the standard you set it at.

I kind of thought that would be the most interesting route to take. Though, I'm still not certain that is enough for an ongoing, given that everybody's origin story has to end in pretty much the same place, rage great enough to draw a red ring.

Plus, Naysay, what if it turns out that some of the OTHER Red Lanterns were psychologists beforehand? Or Social workers, or artists, or some other not-traditionally-rage-spewing occupation (well, OK, I know there are SOME artists that go that route)? Surely that would end up with a red ring being drawn to your location?

They should have a swarm of Red Lantern Rings show up at a comic book convention....

The problem with that, of course, is that upon seeing the Red Lantern rings, any comic book geek rage would be supplanted by excitement, and possibly greed, leaving them without a target...
