It's really a shame they couldn't work Guy Gardener into it somehow...

^Sentiment agreed.

Also, I love how we're still rating issue #18.

Another great issue, although a faster read than some of the previous ones. Can't wait to see how this wraps up.

So, Max Lord did all of this just to make a giant omac that kills wonder woman? Eh, Im going to wait til next issue to see what happens for the finale, but I felt that this issue kind of fell flat. I know how the Brightest Day haters feel now. (I actually enjoyed the dark avatar reveal)

I mean, BD had an 11th hour rushed build up push... to a major reveal of SWAMP THING! I mean, its swamp thing, you can say you called it, but dont kid yourself, vegas didnt even have odds on the guy. Compared with awesome, slow and steady burn to a roid rage omac looking to kill wonder woman. Thats it? Really? Wonder which series will come away with the better finale. So far BD is in the lead IMHO

Not only have we known that it was his plan from close to the beginning we've seen just how far he was willing to go to achieve it.

Look at the death toll that's been racked up in this story line.

Oh and it's been way better than Brightest Day.

Suck it.

I've really enjoyed gen lost, big booster fan to begin with and this just further cemented him in my likable hero hierarchy. Blue beetle was awesome, I need to read his solo series now and Captain Atom's future visits were some of my favorite parts. Not to mention Gavril stealing the show.

And same thing about how far max was willing to go to achieve it, you can say that the White Lantern went pretty far, "killing off" the hawks, aquaman, martian manhunter, and firestorm to turn them into elementals, and stringing along deadman like a freaking puppet

I just like BD better at this stage than JL:GL, it was going back and forth, and both have been good, i just thought IMHO the 'big reveal' in the penultimate issues was better in Brightest Day.

The biggest nit with this series is that Max Lord has been the Entity's pawn, and his entire plan was literally kickstarted to waste time until Alec Holland showed up.

"Killing" the Hawks, Aquaman, Martian Manhunter and Firestorm doesn't count as a "body count" in my book.

Those are uniformed combatants.

Max Lord blew up Chicago.

EDIT : But yea... the Captain Atom time travelling incidents were awesome.

Fair enough, the capes didnt even technically die.

Gen Lost does have the bigger area body count, the closest thing in BD was probably Miami beach getting run over with Siren's PMS water polo team. I know Aquaman and co. are badasses, but they should have been overrun easily, tsk tsk other water dimension army generals.

I would love to see an elseworlds or a spinoff mini of the future justice league that atom saw, could even do an issue of supes holding off the GL invasion

The New Justice League International
Quote:
Spinning off from Justice League: Generation Lost, Bleeding Cool understands that we can look forward to a new, a very new Justice League International.

Back in the day, Justice League written by Giffen and DeMatteis, became Justice League International, a global franchise superhero team and also the first, and possibly best, superhero sitcomic,

It was the book that stopped me being a Marvel zombie in my tracks and opened the door fully, for me, to the DC Universe. Then with Justice League Europe and Justice League America in a double act, I was hooked, and when this storytelling team left the book, I stuck around for two issues before dumping it, and pretty much all the other DCU titles I was reading at the time. I felt like the entire line had abandioned me.

Anyway, that was a while ago, Iím mostly over it. And now itís coming back.

Whether itís by Generation Lost writer Judd Winick, or the classic team of DeMatteis and Giffen, I donít know. And those pesky Non Disclosure Agreements that DC creators are currently all signing are doing everything to prevent me for finding out.

But I am intrigued. And itís not the only exciting Justice League book I hear has been scheduled. More soonÖ

Can't wait for the new JLI series, I hope Judd Winnick does it because Generation Lost was an amazing and fantastic story as a whole. I loved it and the characters and have new respect for Captain Atom and love Rocket Red.

The only thing I hated was the fact that the bad guy was named "prime"
loved the fight; not sure about what Atom did but a proper ending to a great mini series

Can't wait doe JLI

Generally speaking I don't approve of my "Heroes" killing the bad guys.... but just this one time I wanted Booster to 86 Max Lord.

I generally approve killing if it ends saving more lives in the long run. Mostly because I subscribe to the theory that one evil life is worth a thousand innocent lives. Of course that will never happen, because if heroes start wasting the villains, DC will run out of bad guys.

I was really hopping Attom burned the fucker. I hate Max. That dick needs to be put in his place. That place being six feet under.

Would've been better if the whole thing wasn't a ruse by the Entity.

Max (and all of the other WLs) were manipulated by the Entity up until it "left" at the end of BD. That's made quite clear in BD.

I'm not not saying I agree with it; I think it's a stupid story concept, but it is what happened. I've got a feeling the JL:GL creative team wasn't even told about it in advance.

The only thing that WL told Max to do was to kill Magog which I think prevented Kingdom Come I think; the rest was him being pissed off at Wonder Woman and finding ways of killing her

Just like the Hawk didn't get any manipulation from the white lantern until the last 2 issues of BD
