Not a bad closure to the story, I liked the issue.

Xermanico is pretty good, wonder where they'll be next.

3 out of 5 stars. Blackstars #3 was surprisingly...coherent.

Local superheroes aside, Hal Jordan was and is the central figure here, and as Controller Mu's dream came off the rails because his second-in-command had a major character flaw, Hal showed that he, too, can make plans within plans. If there was a central theme, from Jon Kent/Superboy to Belzebeth herself, it was "Be careful what you wish for - you may get it". And you can't make a demon knit quilt-work forever.

Artwork was surprisingly clean, without the heebie-jeebies of the previous Blackstars (and the latter half of TheGL). Characterizations? I'm not so sure. Just Hal acted normally. We had some "Kingdom Come" emphasis with the superheroes' children. At least Mongul got his comeuppance.

If all the other TheGL and Blackstars had been this coherent, I might have liked them.
