Infinity Gauntlet is pretty boring though. Hasn't aged very well.
Superman: Red Son however is one of the best Superman stories of all time. [spoiler]And Batman actually beats him [/spoiler]

Id disagree about IG, as I can still read it & enjoy the heck out of it (of course, theres no surprises anymore), but to each their own.

also, now that I think about it, Id also recommend Marvel Universe: The End
