Does anyone else think that recent influx of JSA characters has something to do with the introduction of the JSA on Smallville? And if so, do you think we will also see more of the Suicide Squad?

I don't think it has anything to do with Smallville. If it did, we'd have Stargirl instead of Wildcat. I think that, after you address the Justice League-related characters, the next obvious step is the Justice Society. I think it's just a natural progression.

Back to wave 14 news, The Fwoosh is confirming that it is the Wal-Mart exclusive wave for 2010.

These Wal Mart Exclusive waves are a headache. Mind you I found all of Wave 10 and wasnt involved when Wave 5 came out, but non-Con exclusives are a migraine.

If it's a Walmart eclusive, we'll probably be as shit out of luck as we were with wave 5. I STILL don't have the Atom from that wave.

There are a few I don't care about, like Kammandi, Tyr, and Zatanna, but I REALLY have to have that Humanite C+C figure for my JSA shrine!

finally a Zatanna figure! the rest are pretty cool, Obsidian looks decent and of course Hourman. The Tyr figure didnt need to be made though. i want to know when they will make a Martian Manhunter figure. i would have thought he would have been one of the first characters, more so than of the ones they used.

what magazine is that by the way? and any word on a release date?

i have no problem with Wal-Mart exclusives here. well thats not entirely true, i seem to have a tremendous abundance, which would constitute a problem for me.

I so want Obsidian! Need Obsidian!

I have to get the Atom Smasher build a figure too.

They really need to end the Walmart exclusives. If you're not at the store at 7am when they open, you're going to be S.O.L.. Of all my Walmart trips, I've seen the Wog wave ONCE. All the dealers are swallowing them up and putting them on eBay for $25 each. If I have to pay that much, I'll just do without.

i agree with Sylent. they just need to make more to feed the need. i sell what i find on eBay for what i pay for them here. the comic shops here are selling them for, no joke, $24.95 EACH! you dont know comedy until you see a $24.95 price tag on a Cyborg, Mr. Miracle or Dr. Impossible.

the ones i sell, i sell them because i figure there has to be someone somewhere who doesnt have the figures that are common here. i feel like im collecting baseball cards or some shit with how rare they are becoming. they are action figures for christ sakes! well, actually they are more like lower quality statues that you can pose. but still ... i forgot where i was going with this .... ummm

This can't be a Walmart wave if they're sticking to the every 5th-wave-schedule. Wave 15 should be the Walmart wave. Once we know what characters will be included as well as see some pictures, we should know for sure. Remember Walmart wants figures to use the least amount of new parts as possible. Every figure in this wave seems to have new parts. Expect wave 15 to have at least one old DCSH character.

Remember when Wave 11 was thought to be the Walmart wave.

[Update - Mattel has confirmed that this will be a Wal-Mart exclusive wave. If it follows the pattern from the past Wal-Mart exclusives, the wave should not have any variant or chase figures.]

That means we'll never see it unless we camp out in front of Walmart.

i love the Wal-Mart exclusive lines. 10 was/is easy to find, i can run to any of the Wal-Marts here and pick up most of them at any time. I can only assume Wave 5 was at least attainable here. So i am looking forward to this wave, i only wish it had more characters really wanted.

if only Martian Manhunter was in it ...

Wave 10 was only easy to find here after every Wal-Mart ordered dozen cases since they thought they would sell... after all, they were never in stock since the employees were buying them and selling them on e-bay. Once that market dried up, all the pegs were full of 15 Powergirls and a handful of the others.

I have yet to see Wave 11 in a store around here. I assume I'll be SOL as far as buying in stores until all those stupid WGSH Captain Marvels and Firestorms are eventually bought... but there's no telling how long that'll take.

I think an abundance of Wave 10 was ordered in anticipation of the Holiday rush. Shortly after the wave splashed, there was nothing but Power Girl's on the pegs mixed in with the older crap that nobody buys. Last I went, most of the PG's were gone and the pegs were quite bare. I wonder if someone did what Superlantern suggested and bought all the older figures and returned them somewhere else so the store orders more product.

I've seen Wave 11 ONCE. I was fortunate enough to buy all the figures needed to make Kilowog. At a few other stores, I've seen the useless Batman and Superman figures that came with the wave but nothing else. I really doubt those figures are hitting the sales floor. Just once, I'd like to roam the stock room just to see how much stuff is stashed back there.

I found all of Wave 9, 10, 11 in stores, and majority of 12 as well. I think it's just luck of the draw- Sylent Im sorry youve had such bad luck. The only one I want from this new wave will be Alan Scott, MAYBE Obsidian and Zatanna. I couldnt care less about the other figures.

We still need core characters made. Martian Manhunter for one. Here is a good list

Bat Family:
Huntress
Spoiler
Jim Gordon
Dick Grayson/Jason Todd Batman
Black Mask
Bane

Superman Family
Superboy/Kon El/Modern with Krypto
Lex Luthor (even if repackaged one from the 5 Pack)
Lois Lane
Doomsday
Parasite

Green Lantern Corps (oh wow)
Kyle Rayner
Guy Gardner
Jade
Tomar Re
Guardians
Krona
Nero
Effigy
Hector Hammond
Tattooed Man

just a quick list

I'm waiting for a Lex in a three-piece suit. The Superfriends version is nice, the green Super Powers power suit is nice too, but that's the one I really want.

Saw this a couple days ago. As soon as i heard this year the focus was to be JSA and GL, my mind went right to Alan; he's my 2nd favorite Lantern, and i can't wait to get him. Great, great character; better figure.

And we are confirmed his accessory is his Lantern, but anyone really want an old DCD throwback and have him come with his Ring too?? Wishful thinking, but i really want an Alan Scott Ring. :/

wave 5 was extremely hard to find anywhere in the state, I got lucky a couple of times. The backlash mattel suffered about wave 5 is why wave 10 is so easy to find.

where do you live Marcum?!?!?! all of those waves (except 10) never even surfaced in Tampa. its almost as if they start shipping in California and work their way towards the eastern states. then by the time they to Florida they have run out of everything except Power Girls, Man-Bats and Cyborgs. i dont understand why i havent even so much as seen the other waves in the retail stores. if 14 follows the same direction as 10 then im all good, but as for 11 and 12 (both bought on eBay at a huge mark up, grrrr) 13, im screwed.

i dont see why they dont offer the waves on Matty Collector as soon as they are released in retail stores. if they did then everyone would be happier and the birds would sing, the skies would be a deeper blue and world peace would probably begin.

Well, found a fresh case of wave 12 at Wal-Mart tonight, despite the rack being full of PGs. The dude just took half the PGs down and put wave 12 up in their stead. I sadly had my wife with me who is a bit of a penny pincher, so I only grabbed the All-Star Nightwing, which I'm kind of okay with since there isn't much in that wave I'm keen on.

Now wave 13 on the other hand...
