I'm too much of a SW nut to wait on BF2, but I will say that the gameplay in the first one seemed a little tighter, and I hate the way players and roll around the map now. I HATE that they got rid of Walker Assault, which was my favorite mode. I've played a few maps and they are fun, but my god is there so much crap flying around to distract you. I think I need to just get used to it, but it really is kind of a jarring change from the first.

Bulletstorm director commenting on the BFII fiasco

I'm gonna have to cut down on the coverage, most of it is going exactly where we think it is.

AVGN: Behind the Scenes -- "Nerdy Challenges"

This was very fascinating. Love me some behind-the-scenes material.

Yeah, it makes me want to re-watch the Megaman/Anniversary episode. Think I will.

Also his recent episode about his and Mike's favorite game controllers. Man, seeing that GameCube controller brought back the memories! Made me want to fire up Resident Evil all over again.

^I was a Sega Genesis guy in the 90s and Playstation guy at the millennium so the SNes and Game Cube controllers have no real nostalgia for me. I do still think the NeS controller was a great one, especially for its day and it's square shape wasn't as uncomfortable as you'd think from the looks.

Sega was my thing as a kid, then SNES, Dreamcast and N64. I still have no idea how the hell I ever held the N64 controller in my hands and played well with it, because it's god-awful.

Anyway, Disney's Bob Iger apparently put his foot down on EA over the Battlefront II disaster.

edit -- This is basically what that phone call was like

It may be that Lucasfilm is responsible for the loot crate furor regarding Battlefront II, not EA/DICE

AVGN Episode 151: RoboCop games

Damn, I'm way behind in getting all of his episodes on Blu-ray. Looks like I'm gonna be double-bankrupt this holiday season.

Completed two auto rifle bounties in Destiny today, first gave me another Vision Stone, second one dropped a non-god-roll Doctrine of Passing (has Rodeo instead of Counterbalance). Don't care, I finally have one. If I get another with CB then good, otherwise I finally have the damn thing.

I'd like those, but since they seem to offer only a little more than is available for free on Youtube, I think I'd rather spend the money on something I have no access to. I do need to get a copy of the movie some day, though.

EA fired original Plants vs Zombies creator for refusing to add pay-to-win system

It's total bullshit that he lost his job, but thank god he stuck to his morals.

I've played the heck out of the first game (on XBL), but now I want to play it some more. Good for him.

Got surprised by Destiny 1's Crucible bounty rewards yet again. Since my first Trials of Osiris emblem dropped from one of Shaxx's bounties, I've been completing them in addition to the auto rifle bounties so I can get more Trials loot. Some of the stuff is forever lost (Adept weapons, ornaments, etc).

I thought one of my more coveted emblems was also gone for good, but I just completed the team deathmatch (Clash) bounty and my Hunter is now proudly sporting the Vigilant Disciple emblem. I was hoping for to have gotten that and the other cat-themed one, Bastet's Dream, directly from Trials, but now I actually have a chance at them!
