Default Does Anyone Else have the Showcases?

I have Volumes 2, 3 & 4 of them. I plan on buying the 1st one this november. Anyone know if they are going to print a 5th book or is that not in the works?

Nope. Vol. 4 is the last one, because after that, we move into the "Hard Traveling Heroes" story with Green Arrow, which is already available in TPB form.

I've bought them all for completeness of my collection, but I've never bothered to read them. I've got the archives, and the original issues. And (sigh) soon to be added to that is the omnibus line.

They're ok if that's what you can afford, but if you can hold off for the omnibus line, that will look a hell of a lot better. And with the movie next year, I'm sure they will collect right up to #75 pretty quickly.

Oh I thought this thread was who has the ORIGINAL Showcases with Green Lantern (Showcase #22, 23, 24).

(Which I do BTW)

But yes I bought the new Showcases, but they just arn't the same without color. Kinda pointless to buy B&W reprints of a character named GREEN Lantern where color is kinda important to see.

And when is this Omnibus book coming out?

So there might be a Vol. 5 after all. Interesting, but surely done to capitalize on the film.

You'd think they'd call it Showcase Presents Green Lantern/Green Arrow Vol. 1, though.

That doesn't work either because after the GL/GA issues end it just goes back to GL anyway.

You'd think that, but I also thought it was a no-brainer that GL would get another Archive the year that Rebirth came out and Vol. 4 launched, but THAT didn't happen. I certainly HOPE that an Omnibus edition comes out that fills the gap between the Archives (which I have given up hope that they will be continued) and GL/GA. But I fear they will stop at Omnibus #2 (if they even do THAT) and leave me hanging again.

I have 1-3, plan on picking up #4 eventually.

I always get the urge to colour them...would that be a bad thing? lol.
