The Preacher television show is dog vomit. I can't sit through one episode. It's just one dumb-assed non-sequitur after another.

This is the kind of stuff that stupid people think is "intelligent." And "funny."

I loved the Preacher comic, buying it from the day #1 hit the shelves until the end. I was super excited to see that series finally make it to live action.

And yeah, it IS terrible. I made it through I THINK the 4th episode when I finally threw in the towel. Pretty sure they had no interest in adapting much less READING the source material. Epic garbage.

I made it until episode 6 because I like the actors. It's unrecognizable as an adaptation of Preacher though. My girlfriend threw in the towel when Jesse's dad beat him with a belt.

Yeah. That's what she said. I kept watching a bit longer to see if they catch themselves, but by episode 6, I had lost interest.

I've watched like the first 3 episodes of Preacher's first season. My friend showed me some clips from later on, too, and is urging me to catch up with it.

Ehhh... it's OK, but something isn't working for me. I'm not sure what. Maybe I'm just having trouble "buying" the angels and the world they're trying to build.

And I like all the actors in there.

Guillermo del toro Details Why He Was So Passionate About Making Justice League Dark

"Well, I co-wrote a whole screenplay on Justice League Dark for Warner Bros., so that's your answer," del Toro shared with ComicBook.com about his interest in adapting a new comic book movie. "I love Deadman, I love Demon, I love Swamp Thing...Zatanna. That's a universe, is one thing. I'm very attracted to that side of the DC Universe."

THR: Superman Prequel 'Krypton' Canceled at Syfy

Syfy has opted to cancel the drama, which told the story of Superman's grandfather, after two seasons. The decision arrives mere days after the David Goyer-produced drama starring Cameron Cuffe wrapped its sophomore frame.

The drama, which was produced by an outside studio — Warner Horizon — was unable to cut through and find an audience. Wednesday's finale drew just 350,000 same-day viewers, with season two averaging a total of only 408,000. That's down considerably from the 1.8 million viewers (with three days of DVR) from season one.

Syfy renewed the series for a second season in May 2018 after Krypton ranked as the Chris McCumber-led network's best series premiere in more than three years and its most-watched debut series in four. Season one of Krypton is streaming on DC Universe, with the sophomore season expected to join the Warners-backed platform in 2020.

Additionally, the DC Entertainment-produced spinoff Lobo has also been passed over at Syfy. Producers Warner Horizon will shop the project about the comic book character — played by Emmett J. Scanlan — to other outlets. Lobo was introduced and Scanlan recurred during season two of Krypton. The spinoff is overseen by Krypton showrunner Cameron Welsh.

Krypton is the latest series to get the ax at Syfy, which also recently canceled Deadly Class and Happy after one and two seasons, respectively.

Syfy's scripted roster now consists of The Magicians, acquisitions Wynonna Earp and Van Helsing, The Purge (which also airs on cable sibling USA Network) and the upcoming Resident Alien. The latter is awaiting a premiere date on the NBCUniversal-owned cabler.

On the development side, Syfy's pipeline includes pilots Cipher and (Future) Cult Classic and a script order for a Chucky update.

THR: 'John Wick' Director Chad Stahelski to Oversee New Action Scenes for 'Birds of Prey'

John Wick director Chad Stahelski is coming in to help the Birds of Prey kick some more butt.

The filmmaker, who cut his teeth in the action world, has been brought in to oversee second unit photography for Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn), Warner Bros.' Margot Robbie-starring adventure movie based on DC Comics characters.

The movie is heading into additional photography as it works its way through post-production ahead of a February 2020 release. Cathy Yan is making her big studio debut as director with the high-profile entry and will work with Stahelski on the new shoots in the action realm, many times known as second unit. Stahelski, taking an uncredited role, will tackle and design new action scenes for the movie. In some ways, this is Stahelski doubling down on the movie as his company, stunt firm 87 Eleven, has been working on the movie since production began.

He's mentioned at a recent convention he'd like to play Booster Gold. Before he gets too damn old he needs to play somebody in either Marvel or DC with some meat to the character.

While Kinnaman was by far the weakest link of the original Suicide Squad (besides the script, the editing and the soundtrack), the Deadline article claims that he retains his role, like Robbie, Davis and Courtney. So Fillion would have to play someone else. I could see him as Catman. But with the likes of Polka-Dot-Man around, maybe he's playing someone like the Calculator or Kite-Man.

Q: would that be as costumed criminal Calculator, or the "Oracle for bad guys" -version??

the latter might work better, but I'll admit I *really* want to see the former due to the suit....
